Bought their aluminum version with reinforcing ribs to save weight. Itβs bent up in the center some. Otherwise good shape. In hindsight, wish Iβd bought the steel version. At least I could weld on it. Not set up to weld aluminum. Since then, Iβve installed a PPE aluminum transmission pan probably negating any need for trans skid. But skid went back on after pan anyway.Curious how it holds up. My LOD Black Ops Transmission Skid Plate is pretty trashed already. Will see if it's salvageable.
I could be wrong, but Talons is one of a very few, if not the only one, making a direct fit trans skid to existing SAS skids. IMHO, a good design and I like the company. As I said above, if I had to do over it would be steel.
