Hello!

I have been using velcro for the last couple of years to hold the rear pockets on the doors. This has worked well but the new puppy is knocking them off, so I am thinking I should just permanently mount them. I do not want to talk the door panel off, though. Has anything simply drilled pilot holes into the part that holds the netting then mounted the pocket that way? I actually like the netting in there to keep things organized and from rattling around. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!

I read your post and remembered seeing this image, I haven't personally got to the door pockets phase as of yet.

But I assume some of the pockets should install with the already existing factory hardware? To me it looks like he sandwiched it in there with aftermarket screws, as I thought the factory ones are hex screws?

Yeah, the front doors are easy. They decided to do the rears "differently" (of course), meaning there is no rear hardware to utilize.

I have the AIG door pockets on mine. The front uses the existing screws. I did keep the netting in place. The rears I just used the self tapping screws. I did pull the netting out because they had sagged so bad from keeping to much stuff in them.

Well, now I need to find the self-tapping screws :) Put them in when I took delivery in 2023.

I just ended up leaving the rear alone. It seemed all options required drilling & I didn't really want to modify the door for a pocket. So weird they didn't just do it like the front ones with easy access screws.

I took a look on my way out yesterday, I see what you mean now. I havent looked yet, but I wonder if theres anything a trim removal tool can do? I assume those pieces have to clip in somehow.

My other thought was 3M double sided tape perhaps? Should keep puppy from knocking them off? 🤔

Hmmm ... the 3m tape might actually make more sense. From what I have watched and read, the plastic is heat-welded on the back side, so you have to take the panel off and drill through the welds to take the netting off.

I do not get Ford - make the front easily accessible but not the back? Figures.

Yes.
Just do it. No need to mess around taking the door panel off. Much better storage than just the netting. Plus it looks OEM.
