Plastic Bumper to Modular Bumper Gap?

Yesterday, Ford installed the modular bumper to my Bronco from the plastic base bumper. I might be crazy, but should there be this much of a gap from the bumper and painted trim?

The passenger side appears to be almost 1/2” bigger gap compared to driver’s side. Thoughts?

Yes, would agree. I just looked at the gap on my Bronco with the mod bumper and it was nowhere near that big.

You can loosen the mounting bolts on the recovery points and adjust the position of the bumper a good bit. It'll probably slide up enough to match the gap the standard bumper had.

Should be 3 bolts per recovery point behind those plastic shrouds around the recovery point.

These are photo's of my 2023 4dr Base with the factory Sasquatch pkg and modular bumper. I included the assembly line photo. You can see the gap between the fender flare and the bumper is tighter on my Bronco. I hope this helps.

You can loosen the mounting bolts on the recovery points and adjust the position of the bumper a good bit. It'll probably slide up enough to match the gap the standard bumper had.

If you do go ahead and adjust, you may want to measure each side before you tighten up the bolts mentioned by Brian_B. I pulled my modular bumper off to install foglights and flat tow stuff and put it back on and was pretty happy.

Later I ordered some plastic fillers that mount to the mod bumper that cover the gap behind the bumper to each tire well. I found I mounted the bumper a little crooked such that one filler installed great, and I couldn't install the other. After measuring one side's gap was quite a bit larger that the other. I accessed those both sides' bumper mounting bolts and loosened them, used a 4 lb hammer and a block of wood on the smaller gap side, and tightened the bolts up with my wife standing on that side. After this I could install the plastic fillers. Who knew?
