Hey everyone — I recently installed the Broaddict TrailDeck drawer system in my Bronco and wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone who’s been researching low-profile storage options.
I also filmed the full install and review which I’ll link below, but here’s a written breakdown of my thoughts after installing it and running it for about a month.
Why I Chose This System
One of the biggest things I look for in any rear storage solution is how well it uses space without sacrificing usability. The Bronco doesn’t have a ton of cargo room to begin with, so anything that eats up vertical space can quickly become frustrating — especially for daily use with kids, groceries, and gear.
The Trail Deck stood out because it’s a low-profile design that still allows the rear to lay flat while adding a pull-out platform and some storage.
Install Experience
The install was honestly straightforward.
The instructions recommend two people (mainly for lifting into place), and that was helpful. If you’ve never removed the rear carpeted section before, that’s probably the most confusing part — you’ll need to pop off the plastic covers near the tie-downs to access bolts.
Once the area is cleared, installation is basically positioning the unit and bolting it down.
Realistically, the install itself took about 10 minutes once everything was prepped.
As someone who isn’t the most mechanically gifted, I’d rate the install a 10/10 for simplicity.
Fitment Notes
I’ve been daily driving with the Trail Deck installed and using it for normal life plus light off-road prep.
Here are some real observations:
Noise:
There is some light noise over bumps — not surprising since it’s aluminum and steel — but nothing excessive. With music on, I barely notice it.
Practicality:
This has actually been great for everyday use, especially groceries and loading gear. Being able to slide the platform out creates a really usable workspace.
Overlanding / Gear Use:
I keep recovery gear, air hoses, and smaller items organized. The drawer is intentionally shallow, so you do have to be selective about what goes inside.
If you’re expecting to store all recovery gear in the drawer, this isn’t that kind of system — it’s more about balance between storage and open cargo space.
Storage Tradeoffs
Because of the slim profile:
Platform Strength
Rated at 265 lbs. I tested sitting and standing on it (~165 lbs) and it felt solid and stable.
What I Like Most
I’d recommend this if you want:
Overall Impression
After a month of use, I’ve really enjoyed it. It strikes a nice balance between usability, storage, and keeping the Bronco practical for everyday life.
Happy to answer any questions if anyone is considering one — feel free to ask.

Fitment Notes
- Still works with a tailgate table (tight but functional)
- Maintains access to rear jack/tools compartment
- Includes protective tape for side contact areas
- Rubber mat with Velcro helps keep things from sliding

Storage Tradeoffs
Because of the slim profile:
- You gain usable vertical cargo space
- You lose deep drawer capacity
Platform Strength
Rated at 265 lbs. I tested sitting and standing on it (~165 lbs) and it felt solid and stable.
What I Like Most
- Low profile keeps cargo area usable
- Slide-out platform is genuinely practical
- Still allows flat sleeping setup
- Clean, quality construction
- Tailgate table compatibility
- Quick install
- Drawer is shallow — pack strategically
- Minor noise on rough roads
- Not meant for maximum storage builds
I’d recommend this if you want:
- A functional rear platform
- Light storage without losing cargo height
- A daily-driver friendly setup
- Occasional camping or overlanding use
