We know the 2-door owners have been waiting patiently (or not-so-patiently!) for this one. At Broaddict, we’ve been hard at work translating our signature TrailDeck DNA into a setup that fits the unique dimensions of the 2-door Bronco.

Today, we’re excited to finally pull back the curtain on our 2-Door Slide-Out Tailgate Drawer design concept!

What’s New?
While this drawer shares the same rugged style as our 4-door version, we’ve made some key refinements:
  • Optimized Footprint: We’ve scaled the size to fit the 2-door cargo area, but kept the full drawer depth and thickness of the 4-door version.
  • Flush-Mount Handle: The handle is now recessed and flush with the drawer edge, creating a much smoother look.
  • Signature Details: We’ve kept the features you love—the anti-slip top pattern and high-strength aluminum side rails.

The "Big Question": We Need Your Input!
Here is where we need the 2-door experts to weigh in. Engineering is all about balance, and we’ve reached a crossroads regarding height:
  • The Goal: We want this drawer to be compatible with our future fold-down tailgate table add-on.
20.webp

  • The Trade-off: To ensure that compatibility, the drawer height needs to match our 4-door TrailDeck. However, because the 2-door's rear seat brackets sit higher than the 4-door's, this creates a 0.71" drop between the folded seats and the drawer surface.

So, 2-door owners—what’s more important to you?

1. Future-Proofing:
Keep the height as-is to ensure it works with the upcoming tailgate table and other accessories?

2. Perfectly Flat Floor: Lower the unit to be 100% flush with the seats, even if it means sacrificing compatibility with certain add-ons?

Specs Recap:
  • Weight Capacity: Recommended max load of 265 lbs.
  • Tailgate Clearance: When closed, there is a gap of 1.20" between the unit and the tailgate.

We want to build the gear that you actually want to use. Drop a comment below and let us know your thoughts on the height, the handle, or anything else!

I have a 4 door version so I would not be purchasing. But in my opinion I would rather the deck be flat with the rear seats.

Take the extra 0.71” and make the drawer that much deeper. From my experience it is difficult to find items or cases to fit in the shallow drawer, so the extra depth would be appreciated.

I've said it before... Broaddict is absolutely at the forefront of Bronco accessory innovation. The fact that they go thru all this development for the minority if 2 doors out there only reconfirms their commitment to the Bronco enthusiasts.
And I'll submit, this is even more useful a mod on the 2 door than the 4.

Make it flush with the seats! My camping style, when it comes to packing, is using tubs to store everything. Flush with the seats makes it easy to slide the heavy/bulky tubs and coolers in and out the back of the truck. I even built a wooden spacer just for that reason. It also allows for a flat deck for the few that are brave enough to sleep in the back. I cant see any draw backs with more depth when it comes to storage.

In regards to the table, the consensus I have got from the forum is that most people install one, get tired of it rattling and then remove it. Personally, Id rather use the slide out top as my table over a fold down one. It is more stable and doesn't have the risk of someone moving the tailgate and spilling everything that was on the fold down table.

This has been what I've been waiting for since purchasing my bronco. These are just my 5 cents (no more pennies) and either way I'm most likely going to order one.

THANK YOU FOR WORKING ON THIS

My preference is for the deck to be level with the seats. My reason is that I want the drawer to be as deep as possible. I need the depth to store my tools and trail gear. The ability to slide gear smoothly into the cabin is also an advantage.

I have a Ford Branded fold out table which I would like to keep, so I will have a choice to make if the slide out drawer is incompatible.

Edit: I have figured a way to raise the table mount if needed, so I'm all in on the seat level slide.

I think Broaddict has an opportunity here to correct the issue with the 4 door trailslide, and that is of course tailgate table interference.
I wonder if it would be possible to design a deeper slide to make a flush floor with the folded seats AND keep clearance for a tailgate table.
Some of the 4 door guys mention the large, protruding handle was a cause of interference.
Maybe just a slot handle opening for the floor slide and a smaller, cleaner handle for the drawer?

Hi everyone, we’re planning to pick up a 2-door Bronco for our project. Which trim would you recommend, the Base or the Badlands? Would love to hear your thoughts on which one offers better value for development/daily use. Thanks!

I hope you guys can figure out a way to make it work with the tailgate table. I just bought one, and would also be in on the drawer! Is there any way to make it so that there is a way to make it an option to be level or compatible with the table via a spacer of some sort during install? That way people can choose? Best of luck with development!

No Skin in the game at this time (mulling over the idea of a 2 door purchase, but none yet), but my choice would be for same height as the rear seats as well..
