Mounted a set of Morimoto 1 Banger combo beam lights on top of my crash bar mounts to serve as cornering lamps and wired into my fog light switch. With the extra clearance of a ADD Rockfighter bumper it projects light were I wanted it. The positioning is a bit vulnerable, but I'm hoping they can hold up to the abuse. I may 3D print a shield for them, though. The combo beam has a nice spread to it with a brighter area towards the middle. Very nice lights. The little dudes feel robust and the mounts are stout with a beefy, large torx headed carriage bolt for mounting. The T-20 Torx screws on the sides for the pivot point and angle adjustment seem to hold very well. Have some issues with the FORscan programing for cornering functionality, but I think I can get that resolved. Light pics are headlights only - 1Bangers only - both. I have the right one angled slightly more outward since right turns tend to be sharper.

Can the bracket be mounted UNDER the bar and the light Pod right side up?

I think the OP has them perched on top of the crash bar. I was wondering if the can be flipped like the other poster with the factory HD bumper. The SAE output wouldn't work upside down.

Thanks man. I'll wander over there, although my FORM projector really solved this problem for me.

The first thing I did is turn off several of the door/seat belt/ignition chimes and eliminated the double horn honk. For me, that has been worth the effort to figure it out.

The 1 Banger as supplied is intended to be mounted as I have them. The link is for the accessory bracket to hang them. P/N is BAF251. It's typically about $18, which seems a fair price to me. My original plan was to hang them off the DV8 crash bar covers, but that didn't work out well. I could have Jerry rigged it to work, but what I did was easier and I'm lazy.

I like your idea. I've got a pair of 1 bangers (recessed so I can get a hitch pin thru the front hitch) and thinking it might be worth repositioning one as you did.

Currently the front Baja are on one switch and the one bangers are all on another switch.

Being out of switches, do you think the spread of your light position can always be on when the remaining front banger is on (highway driving for example) or do you recommend figuring a way to separate them on different switches because I will want to use them individually.

I don't have a lot of miles with them yet and I've been running them as cornering lights only (fog light switch off). As I have them, I THINK (don't KNOW) they'd be OK running as fogs on the street. They are sitting below eye level for most people and I think the bumper shields the brightest part of the light source from on coming traffic. Cross traffic at intersections might get a brief eye full as they are passed by, though.

BTW @JerryG, I'm glad to see you have BD SAE lights down there. I put a pair on our 4 door and I really like the light intensity and pattern. The cut off is super crisp and we don't get flashed down. I have Rigid SAE lights in there now on the 2 door with the RF bumper and I get flashed down buy a lot of drivers. On the 4 door w/ mod bumper the BD SAE lights do a decent job of lighting up the periphery. Does the low mount on the RF bumper limit light dispersion to the sides?

So, I made some little stone/splash guards for the Morimoto cornering lights on my crash bar mounts. I did it all very "shoot from the hip" style, just eyeballing fit and size while using stuff I had laying around (note that I have WAY TOO MUCH STUFF "laying around"). They came out pretty good and seemed to work well for me. I used 22 ga sheet metal I had, but something heavier wouldn't be bad. I would not go lighter gage. If I get a 1" tree branch tangled up in the wheel well, it will probably bend these things up. Additional reinforcement would not be bad. If I had welding skills, I could do something far more stout. I was out on muddy trails Saturday flinging mud. It was piled up pretty good on my rear flares and on my slider/steps at some points, but there were no big clumps of mud on or around the lights themselves. The lights where pretty filthy from pushing through some deeper, muddy water, though. I have the stock SAS GYs, so the mud flinging capability is pretty limited. These tires packed up completely with mud, even keeping tire RPMs up. This mud was very snotty like. If you have some big ol' 40" TSL Super Swampers blasting through 36" deep, super sticky and heavy clay mud bogs, your results may differ.
My lights are mounted to the inner/fwd hole in the CB mount. The shield I made its about 4.5" square flat, then I bent about an 1-1/8" flange into it and cut a relief for the inner weld on the CB mount. The bend is not 90°, but angled slightly back to put the top edge above and forward of the OEM wheel well liner. I made nut plates from 3/16” thick aluminum and 1/4-20 flare or riv nuts that are inserted into the CB mount and match drilled holes into the shield flange. Hole spacing was about 1-1/8" center to center, but that has some flexibility as the outer and rear holes in the top of the CB mount are pretty large giving a lot of clearance to a 1/4" fastener. I used some old satin black Rust-Oleum rust converting spray paint on the shields.
The wheel wells look much less muddy in the pics since the 70 mph freeway drive home in the rain did a lot to remove mud, but I didn't find clumps checking them on the trail either. I'm sure someone could do better with a little more thought and effort, but it's a valid approach.

I'm not much of a darkness wheeler, but the wife and I went out yesterday on a dreary, rainy PNW day. Late afternoon and deep in the forest, it got pretty dark on the trails. When I was cutting back to the left between trees and over stumps, the driver's side cornering light automatically flash on. I was like "Oh yeah baby!". Pretty nice. Didn't occur to me as the progression to dark was slow and the headlights were on, but the wife also flipped on the Hella 3.2" cube Black Magic spot ditch lights and they were impressively helpful as well. It feels good when stuff actually works and is useful!
