M&R light bar brackets rusting after less than a year.

Hey all. I’ve noticed my M&R lightbar brackets are starting to show some rust. They’re not crumbling or anything, but definitely noticeable when looking at the car.

Would you replace these? My other thought was washing it off and then hitting it with some appliance touch up paint (rust inhibitor)

That’s how I’m leaning. It was a real pain to crawl in the wheel-well to get these installed in the first place.

Rust NEVER gets better - address it now with POR15 to stop the spread and then apply a good paint/sealer or ideally powdercoat the brackets.

M&R reached out to me and is sending replacements. .

M&R Does not care. i ended up replacing them.

I find that hard to believe. Mikhail (the M in M&R) is a stand up guy. I had a customer come in with a bad 40" light bar (one of the back-light amber lights was out) and he came in WITH a new light bar that M&R sent him to replace it.

They did not care when I contacted them with very clear photos of the poor workmanship andrust...

We upgraded our powdercoaring process by tumbling all of our parts to smooth out the edges. Makes the powdercoar stick thicker. If you have an issue reach out and we can replace the brackets ifs you would like.

M&R is great, I know Mikhail personally and all my lights are M&R since day 1. reach out to him and hell resolve.

Yes thats correct after you swapped them out you sent me an image of original ones showing rust on the hole where bolt was. We get them professionally powdercoated but if there is friction contact and salt due to your geographic location, it happens. Powdercoating is not 100% effective its an awesome solution for resistance.

Not trying to argue online if you are not happy with M&R i can refund you the $50 you paid for replacement brackets. If you have problem with the bracekts you ordered, i believe i can make it even better with a tumbled set which we started doing about 4 months ago.
