The sitting will definitely help with negotiations, But I'll bet if you look at the ones you did find, I'll bet they are abandoned special orders, Not dealer stock orders... Both of mine were .
Probably so. That probably helps even more to be honest

It likely will if you can find what you want on a lot, and you're patient enough to let the dealer sit on it for a while after you make an offer...

My 7MT was a canceled special order and had been sitting for a few months.

They are rare birds to find without special ordering

Absolutely. I’ve been tracking them on and off for half a year and there always seems to be like 2 or 3 around. Probably are special order like you said and cancelled. Hopefully if one of these I see currently don’t work out then people will continue to special order and cancel them so I have more options lol

Pull up the window stickers on the ones you're tracking... Blue is dealer stock, Green is special order ;)

I never knew that. You mean like the actual boarder around the window sticker? The few I see are actually blue.

If you have 2 to 3 new MT Broncos sitting on lots in your area, consider yourself lucky. Haha. I think there’s only one or two in my entire state. If I buy one from a dealer’s stock, I’ll likely be flying there and driving it back.

Also, prices are coming down for 2025 Broncos, and the higher the MSRP the bigger the discount. So if you do find a 2025 Big Bend Sas, you might be able to get it for just a bit more than a non Sas 2025 and maybe even less than a 2026 non Sas special order. So if I was going to change out the wheels and tires anyway, I would find a 2025 Sas and I’d probably come out ahead.

Yup, the border color is the easiest way to tell quickly. The abandoned orders will also say "Special Order" in the block right below the MSRP.

Blue is a routine dealer order, and generally for stock, although they could have ordered them that way for any reason. Those will usually not have words in the block below the MSRP, but will have number/letter codes, I don't know what the purpose of those codes is.

If you've got 2 Blue Stickers within 75 miles of you I'm pretty surprised, I've only ever seen one blue sticker manual myself...

I am looking to get a new bronco 4 door. The issue is that it must be manual, so in my area that drastically cuts down how many are available.

There seems to be a couple base ones and like one big bend sas available within 75 miles of me.

while I like the look of the sas, I’m really not taking it off road at all, or very lightly. I don’t think I need all the extra stuff it has in that package.

I’m thinking of getting the base and just changing the wheels and tires (or maybe keeping the stock steel wheels and getting 33s) to give it the look I like in the sas.

my question is- is the big bend Sasquatch worth all that extra money? It’s like 12 grand more and there’s less available. I see bunch of used sas rims with tires on Facebook for like 1000-1600 for all 5.

am I losing much in options also going with the base over the big bend? I don’t see any base with the sas package, so that’s out of the picture.

I don’t really care for the extra options. I have a f150 stx as well so that’s moderately bare bones. I’m fine with that on the bronco - don’t care about leather, heated seats, or any of that.

also- any comment on the manual trans? From what I read it seems to be enjoyable and no issues.

thoughts?
What's your price range you are looking or hoping to spend? Why not search nationwide, most dealers will help with shipping and it should cost around $700-$2K depending on how far away it is. Do you have a preferred color or any other options you would really want? I wanted the Sas and it took me a couple of months and contacting lots of dealers to finally find a base Sas back in 23 when the ordering banks were still closed. It sucks that they charge for the automatic with the Sas package but I wanted the auto anyway so that really lowered the cost of Sas for me.

Oh, I'm not all that far from you, I'm in Northern Virginia (DC Metro) area, I just looked and there are 18 Manuals on lots within 50 miles of me... A lot of base models, Which I've never looked at. The 4 I just pulled up were all Blue Border ones...

Maybe you need to expand your search area?

in 75 miles I’m seeing 12 but when I go to the actual dealer website 10 of them are actually auto. I’m starting to look as far as 150 miles and I get I think 1 more but it’s like right at that 150 mile away mark lol

Using Ford's inventory search to ensure that all the hits really are manuals (Yeah, cars.com gets lots of automatics even when you specify manuals, cuz dealers don't enter stuff right in it) I just used 22301 as the zip, 50 mile radius, 4 Door base and Big Bend 7mt, and got 10 hits.

Not sure where in New Jersey you are, but are you using the Ford inventory search? Maybe there are more close by that you don't know about yet...

Yea still not a ton. A few used ones I can find, probably a lot of lease turn ins. Any idea how these hold value? I’m seeing a few in the low 30s. Say I decide to sell it after 3 years, are they still holding some value?

I'd be lying if I said I could predict what's going to happen to values in the next 3 years, with the way car values have been going since 2020, the cost of vehicle ownership has gone up over 30% between the cost of ownership, maintenance and insurance, the middle class is going to get squeezed out of it, and a vehicle like the Bronco, even a base, is reliant in large part on discretionary spending; IE; I think pretty soon the bottom is gonna drop out and people are going to be looking a lot more to basic a to b transport that is less expensive to own and operate, but I'm not an expert, and hope I'm wrong. But if I'm not, the Bronco is going to be even less in demand, and if you do need to be concerned with resale value, a manual transmission is a poor choice to begin with.
