Let's see your 2 DR rear basket/tray/shelf

Here 's mine. Its' an American Adventure Lab prototype that I've been running for the last couple of months. The thing that's unique about this is that it doesn't kill the use of the back seats. You can use it with your seats up, or fold your seats down and expand it for more room. The expansion almost doubles the size of the shelf.
The performance is great! I went on an EXO Baja run in September and it helped me handle what you see in the picture plus extra room in the rear seat area. Everything is strapped down to the shelf and the AAL floor system. It also serves a a great mounting location for my fire extinguisher and Apex mini reel.
AAL is telling me that they plan to make it available sometime in November.

Looks good! This is definitely interesting. Can you remove the shelf quickly if needed? I just checked the site and they’re only showing the version that fits the 2-door without the rear seats.

Another vote for JCR. With the rear seats up, this separates the heavier stuff from the lighter things. and makes it safer in the event of heavy braking or a rollover. We no longer camp when we hit the trails so this setup works great for us.

Important to be cognisant of high security of whatever goes in there imagine 20G force in a crash anything flying around will likely cause casualties.

I mounted my tailgate sub 30lb +/- with 8 X M6 rivnuts and four sub side rivnuts with 2 X horizontal steel U brackets. Hopefully rivnuts wont tear out if anything happens....

JCR worked great for me. Easy install with provided plates. Bent from a single piece of aluminum, 4 corners cut and ends bent up 90 degrees to make 3" tall edges. Be careful installing to keep all bolts loose and measure distance to tailgate window and clear the brake light bump. Also check that the side plates have clearance from the roll cage so they won'trub - most likely the bronco won't be perfectly square. Very light but sturdy. Need to mount plates over the plastic on the roof cap sides, so you'll need to remove shelf if you take the top off. Great fit, seems solid, no more stuff on the floor like seat covers, blankets, straps, etc. taking up space. One miss is that they didn't tack weld the corners at the tips, or provide some plastic connector to the corner tips.

… I just purchased their 2 Dr shelf first of Jan 26. So I haven’t followed up. Very nice product. Since I am keeping my rear seats, just making new shelf brackets to have two shelves.

If you’re interested call AAL they are great to work with.

No release date yet for the 2Door Flex Deck. Did you get the current 2Door with seats removed, and are converting it to a 2-tier shelf system?
