Well, the right answer is "almost all of them".

But more to the point on ta thread about tunes, I would not mind having the option to run an E30 mix of 87 and E85 for an anti-knock rating of about 91. Such a mix would be a real $ savings compared to buying overpriced (which can be up to a full dollar more in my area) 91 pump.
When I ran E85 on my Rappy F150 (with bigger injectors and a @GooseTuned treatment) my mileage dropped to about 11 mpg. It was lower than that at the beginning cuz “holy crap this truck is fast” but even driving normally it was rough on consumption. I did the swap for performance but I did do the math and it was a wash on saving any cash. Eventually just swapped back over to 91 as it was difficult to find E85 outside of the town I was in.

@Panda Motorworks (or anyone with an opinion) what's the chance of getting more torque in the 4-6k rpm range without much more in the 3-4K with a tune but not other mod's such as bigger turbo's, different cam profile, etc. out of the 2.3?

I run the FP tune, which claims 385ftlbs and it is obvious this is in the 3k-4k rpm. This is useful, but it is clear this motor runs out of breath early and the claimed 330hp might even be on the high side. I short shift at about 5k rpm as there is no reason to ring it out to 6k or wherever the fuel cutoff is. This motor is all midrange.

I suspect all an ECU tune can do is magnify this curve, not fundamentally alter it.

Since I have a manual I'm not sure I want to push the torque past 400ftlbs or so as I am not confident the tran/clutch would be durable past that. Yet, I would love to have a real 375, 390 or some such horses....I don't think it is possible without turbo/cam mods however (and maybe even head/valves/etc.

Hi how ya doing.
Living in a state with the gas tax we have you'd understand
I'm not a financial advisor but, my advice is this: if you have to buy 87 octane to realize the 10$ savings per fill up, you really shouldn't have purchased a new vehicle let alone a 19 mpg Bronco.

Stay tuned for official release timing, dyno results, and tuning package information. The time has finally come for 2.3L Bronco owners to experience custom tuning the way it should be.

Why did I have to scroll through 4 forum pages to discover that nobody has any idea what model years this will work with. It's literally the most *basic* fact you would need to convey. I see you have a giant stupid looking logo image. No actual information.

Of course, but @redone17 comment made me think there was something else going on that I wasn't aware.

Anyway, even priced the same, the Accessport is a better value proposition. Can´t wait for its release!
They did decide to pull ASS memory and rev matching from MY23 with an after-the-sale software update.

They did issue refunds for people with manuals for rev matching - but nothing for folks that used the auto stop start memory

Thanks for the warm welcome! Im glad my Bronco is getting 21 mpg on 87 and not as cool as yours on 91+ getting 19!

Edit: show me in the manual that it needs 91+ and I'll only use premium.
The ford tune requires premium only is why I asked
With any tune that’s providing more powah, you’re going to be running 91.

Bronco has a knock sensor and can adjust on the fly for different octane levels, but to realize all the OEM hrsprs Ford advertises for the 2.3 you’ll need to run 91. But you absolutely can run 87.

It should be obvious to get even more power via an aftermarket tune or the Ford Performance tune it is going to require some changes, and those changes are enough that you will then be limited to 91.

The folks looking for a 87 tune. No.

having a tuner you can adjust to detune to be able to run 87 if you want to — that I I understand. Can’t exactly do that with ProCal easily

Yeah, E-85 or flex baby!! Flex fuel on my 2016 STi, ND Miata, and on my mk7.5 GTI. I will sing the praises of E-85 till the pumps go dry!
