Meh. I say buy what makes YOU happy, as for the rest (Insert thought here). People will always have opinions of what to buy, what is worth it, what is not, then push that opinion onto others or proudly display it as a means of "look! I'm (insert thought here).

The Stroppe is a nice vehicle that Ford brought back for people who would like that type of vehicle. The same for the Everglades, HEL, and any other vehicles over the years and brands. I remember the Funk Master Flex in 2008, the Expedition. So these vehicles will always exist in Ford's lineup for the people who want them.

So I say again. Do you. There will always be someone somewhere that will challenge the decision YOU made, but Meh, there always will be.

Oh, I don't mind that at all. We all have opinions and mine is no better than anyone else's. Just don't use false claims to make one's point. That I may have a beef with, as noted above when someone said there is nothing special about the Stroppe.... Yea, there is, at least for 2025 and it doesn't even have much to do with the name Stroppe.

No, the original Stroppes were not built by Stroppe. The original Stroppes were built by Ford and subsequently modified by Stroppe. The G6 Stroppe is built by Ford and some mods done by Penske. Both of these versions are tributes to the Stroppe racing heritage. Kind of you to dump on the OP’s new vehicle thread and let everyone know what values vehicles have though.

The current version is just a stock Bronco sent off to Penske to get paint and stickers added.

Ford worked directly with Willie Stroppe (son of Bill) on how to outfit and equip this issue. There are videos of Ford revealing the finished prototypes at the Stroppe shop for Willies approval. Unfortunately he passed late last year. That in its self is more connection to its intents than any other Bronco model or trim. Sorry you dont like them and think they are 30K$ overpciced Wildtraks. Each their own.

I’m Interested in that as well. I get swarmed in the ‘71 but not sure what a 2025 would be like as a daily driver. I blocked the other poster, it got exceedingly boring.

This thread has become quite the reflection of human behavior and no further comment on that. Yes, to answer your question, we’re loving it. We will only ever have a 2-door and 2.7 Bronco. Observers and friends all comment favorably. Some folks think it’s a red-white-blue paint scheme and that’s alright with us!
And no, it’s not just paint and stickers. To those who “know” their opinions, go and drive a Stroppe. A totally different vehicle from the Wildtrac.

I think all of the colors are slightly different from the original. The Poppy Red is more orange, the Wimbledon White is more cream, and the Astra Blue was just different somehow, lighter? I’m looking forward to seeing them side by side. Hope they don’t clash, lol.

Showing the Stroppe family the unit Ford built and handing them a nice check for the use of the name is FAR from the connection of Bill Stroppe's shop actually doing the modifications to their own specifications.

Never said I didn't like them but that doesn't change the fact they are just paint and stickers slapped on an otherwise factory build

Unfortunately you can’t buy a new version of your example for 2025/26, so Ford eliminated competition within its own lineup maybe to make way for the Stroppe trim, and possibly the end of the 2dr/v6. Whether it ever comes back is anybody’s guess. There are subtle differences like the better shaped fenders, skids, sway bar, but mostly it’s a unique compilation of existing options for 2025 that makes a pretty sweet unit, along with an appearance package as a tribute to Stroppe.

Wrong comparison. People need to quit thinking of a WT as a comparable trim rather they should be looking at a Limited HE or a fully loaded Badlands Sasquatch with HOSS 3.0. The HEL never had the HOSS 3.0 as an option but it is a close comparison.

The biggest functional feature that no WT ever was built with is the Sway Bar Disconnect.

One can itemize the unique features that some consider as appearance. But that doesn't negate the associated costs.

The discussion on the summary of cost for the STROPPE compared to a fully loaded Badlands/HEL.
