I still believe they got the color scheme all wrong, the 1st bronco to Win was the "Big Oly" and had a totally different paint job...Stroppe was just the builder/ co-Driver... Parnelli Jones won the race.

The Stroppe prepped bronco won in 1969 (number 56) and is still the only stock 4x4 to win the race. It wasn't until two years later in 1971 that Big Oly (number 63) won its first Baja 1000.I still believe they got the color scheme all wrong, the 1st bronco to Win was the "Big Oly" and had a totally different paint job...Stroppe was just the builder/ co-Driver... Minor won in 68 (number 3) in a Stroppe Bronco, was that a different class? The Stroppe prepped bronco won in 1969 (number 56) and is still the only stock 4x4 to win the race. It wasn't until two years later in 1971 that Big Oly (number 63) won its first Baja 1000.
68 was winner in 4 wheel class.Minor won in 68 (number 3) in a Stroppe Bronco, was that a different class?
It’s going to be interesting for me to watch is that they only made the two door for one year. With it going to a four or now you really only had 2025 production of two door. Now, that being said, they are out there with significant discounts on new two doors. But I do think long-term that only being made for one year plus like you said the last of the two-door V6 is I think it will be interesting to watch. But who’s gonna take one and put it in the garage and never drive it? And that’s the only way it’s going to be super valuable.Since you asked, ill give you my reply as to why this edition is "Special". It is the last 2dr with a V-6. That is one of the reasons I traded in my 2022 v-6 OBX SaS 2dr. I wanted the last version of V-6 2dr.
Now, was it special enough as is? No, I put a Warn winch on the front, ordered 2 different front bush guards for the bumper because I didn't like the first one. Picked up 6 Diode dynamic lights for the bumpers, 2 Rigid lights for the cowl top. New set of wheels and tires. Truck is going in to the body shop to fix the bad tail gate flat black design... paint up that brush guard in code Orange along with a wind deflector for the hood, which I'm having de wrapped and sprayed black (the hood). Tire cover for the rear is also on the truck. Put an MRT exhaust on it. ill see if it is special enough for me after the spray booth. May choose to modify it further, we will see.
Oh, and I have wheeled it. Which makes it even more Special to me.
True, but none of my vehicles are purchased with value long term in mind. I buy them to enjoy them, not to save them for the next guy. It’s going to be interesting for me to watch is that they only made the two door for one year. Same. Cars are generally a crappy investment.True, but none of my vehicles are purchased with value long term in mind. I buy them to enjoy them, not to save them for the next guy.
That includes my '77 Bronco, my '81 280zx, my '74 Landcruiser...
You got what you wanted which is fine but at a serious price increase and the Stroppe paint only added to that cost. "Special" to you doesn't translate to being special enough to justify a $30Kish price bump to the average person.Since you asked, ill give you my reply as to why this edition is "Special". I'll bet they said the same thing 50 years ago.Though I doubt there will be a market for 50 year old 6Gs in the future at all.

I'm sure they did as at some points they could hardly give away 1st gen Broncos on the used market, However those Broncos didn't depend on complicated electronics to keep them on the road.I'll bet they said the same thing 50 years ago.![]()
Not sure that's a true statement. My '22 Sticker for a fully loaded OBX SAS wasn't $30k less. Maybe $10k less. I think I paid $66k but am pretty sure there was a Dealer mark up due to the insurance recovery over the 2021 that was totaled (insurance Co. gave me $$ over 2021 sticker as well) v. Less than $75k for the Stroppe. I would gladly trade the eye glass holder for the Aux switches, the HOSS 3.0 to my HOSS 2.0 and I get the sway bar disconnect, as well as the paint job, and painted top. It is missing the leather interior though, to be fair. You got what you wanted which is fine but at a serious price increase and the Stroppe paint only added to that cost. And your modifications while personalizing it to YOU, only decrease its value to a collector down the road, Though I doubt there will be a market for 50 year old 6Gs in the future at all.
I hear ya, I'm still running a points ignition (Mallory dual point) and a carburetor in my 74'.I'm sure they did as at some points they could hardly give away 1st gen Broncos on the used market, However those Broncos didn't depend on complicated electronics to keep them on the road.
It's one thing for a company that makes hard parts such as steering, brakes, etc to manufacture the uncomplicated and cheap machined parts for older vehicles.
I seriously doubt there will be some company 50 years from now putting out the myriad of proprietary computer modules a 6G needs to remain drive able.
Hell there are vehicles MUCH younger that already can't be repaired due to lack of things like (a comparatively easier to make) wiring harness. Vehicles that sold WAY more units than the 6G has,
My 73 Bronco has what, 5 fuses, basic connectors and probably a couple hundred feet of wire in it,
HE'LL YEA BROTHERHow you feel when you see this, is how you’ll feel about the Stroppe (regardless of # of doors) in 20 years…![]()
