Hey all, just joined the Bronco fam with a 2025 OBX 2.7, Lux in Marsh Grey. I bought it for my wife who was wanting a fun car that could become topless yet still haul kids and pets.

My first question I need to figure out, is where are the areas that require paint protection? Are there any usual spots that get road rash beyond the hood lip?

Also, what is the consensus for windshield protection? Do hood deflectors reduce rock impacts to the glass?

TIA

Just my opinion. Hood deflectors are ugly.
My 21 has 2 chips on the front hood. Nothing crazy. The sides of the vehicle have very little as to rock chips.
As to the window. I have been lucky knock on wood. No chips. But I stay at least 2 car lengths back of vehicles. Avoid semis, trucks, etc… I will probably
get one eventually as I have had them on all vehicles, but I make an effort to avoid one with my Bronco.
Just drive it. Don’t worry too much👍🏻

I've got a full PPF wrap, but I'm also regularly out in the brush and desert so it helps.
Small chip in my factory windshield but I got it sealed the next day, and it's been fine with zero cracking. That was two years ago.

I wheel pretty hard, no real chips from road usage, windows fine. Use it mod into what you do. Lots on hereabouts mud flaps if you are worried about it.

Hood deflector with bump saves winshields redirecring a lot to the winshield top pillar.

Absolutely get the B & C brace kit its transformative to driving experience ans eleiminatez all rattles.

At a min PPF the painted strip under grill, flares, mirrors. headlights and fogs, windshield surround.

Body armor for front of fenders matched well with hood deflector and saves you est 1.5K Full hokd and fenders PPF.

The Ford srick on rocker plastic protection is nice though you can scuff it with 240 gt sand paper and spray on gravel.guard from.body shop suplky store.

Other than that full PPF will keep it looking new for years, just apply quick.detail. Protects against other vehicle side grit and rock spray. Worth every penny IMO and jept my black Mustang presitine got premium.price when sold it.

I was going to do full PPF but at 10% of vehicle cost I just did the minimal because I can personally paint correct later on.

Which hood deflector would you recommend, I see lots of options. This is a street car for my wife so I’m not concerned with protection from off-roading. Unfortunately the windshield was cracked on the delivery truck so the dealer had to replace it before I took delivery. It has an OEM replacement thankfully.

I have a Broaddict coming soon. I dont care for the looks of the deflectors too much but stone chips and all the bugs constantly on the windshield has me doing it. I worry about a cracked wind shield and having to get that replaced. Under $70 on Amazon and they look just like the more expensive ones. Youtube videos show it.

In case you live near critters, the engine bay could use protection. Leastways I can't keep raccoons out of my Bronco engine bay. Every night I put a corded blinding bright LED light under the hood, until I figure out some better solution.
Did someone say raccoons? (I don't have that problem 🤭)

It’s garaged every nite so if critters get in there I have bigger problems 🤣

The Ford / Bushwhacker one that has a bump which redirects airflow and road debris trajectory. It's on Ford Accessories site only one with bump.

Do you have a link? I can’t find it on their website.
