We enjoyed the long weekend - setup basecamp, did some bicycling, hiking, plenty of trail riding, and star gazing.

Hope you're all doing well

What all did you get ?
I very much cheated and purchased the plug and play kit from Trail seven. 12” tailgate enclosure with Hertz and mono amp. All Audison Prima line speakers with a 6 channel amp.

I drove the Bronco from Northern Virginia to Murrells Inlet, SC just outside Myrtle Beach on Saturday for a couple nights and then on to Hilton Head for the week. We took the Ferry to Daufuski Island today and drove around the island in a golf cart, stopping at the distillery for cocktails (saw a 4 foot gator in their pond). I wish I’d been able to bring the Bronco to the Island but the car transportation happens on a cargo barge and you can’t ride on it with your vehicle. Too much of a PITA for a day trip.

A young guy in a newer Colorado at our HH rental unit parking lot told he loved my truck and had been looking at the exact same one. Said he knew the color was a throwback and thought mine looked β€œsick”. I’ll take the compliment.

Outside the Hilton Head Piggly Wiggly: πŸ™‚

Installed Sasquatch flares and rear bumper extension. I swapped stock OBX wheels to the 35" (ish) Sasquatch wheels a while back, and the stock flares have been bothering me. I think this looks so much better, plus no more rocks flinging into the door.

Busy 24 hours for my bronco. Last week, after installing 37x12.5r17 Trail Grappler MTs on Method 703, -12 offset, 17x9 wheels last week, it became evident that my pocket lights needed to move or my tires might move them for me.

Moved the KC Flex 3 from the pocket mount position to just below the headlights in a more easily aimed position on top of Mod bumper. Blew an aux fuse in process, and made quite a mess drilling through the steel. Putting single lights on my camper.

Do not advise drilling but I wanted this wide location for mounting and wouldn't wait for proper mounts to come in mail.

I went with this offset wheel choice was for the clearance required by the Falcon 3.3 shocks I've got being installed now.

After this week I'm impressed all over again with how the eibach 2.0 setup handled the heavy tires. Smoothed out the limited bumps I encountered on beach near me, but eventually when its spent all day in 100degrees in the desert being worked I'm sure I won't regret going with a bigger shock.

Current setup would probably result in fender blow out, but man did these Nittos and offset wheels smooth out my ride relative to before with 35" toyo atiii on stock wheels.

Bought a T harness and Kicker Key 200.4 for a song from a fellow Bronco owner who moved up to something else. Installed it this afternoon and I must have gotten a helluva DSP run because it absolutely changed the sound system beyond my expectations. Did the run with the stock sub amp off and then tweaked minor head settings (one bump of bass) and it’s pretty stellar. It must be really good with replacement speakers. This should hold me until I have the get the sub I want.

She’s a touch β€œnose low” for me. Was that by design?
