What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

Firs, I didn't even know Bronco's were available with rain sensing wipers, mine doesn't have them.
I don't think they are "true" rain sensing wipers. I read something about them being a "smart wiper" that sense the load on the motor when wiping and will slow down the speed of the wipers in certain conditions. Which for me is all the time and then I can't see and have to fiddle with the switch every 60 seconds. It's at best an annoyance and at worst dangerous if you ask me.

I tried to recreate your problem in my 7MT after I read this yesterday. I can't detect even the slightest hitch on the R/C lockout if I'm pushing to left from 1st to 2nd. Your lockout may be misaligned. If it's anything like the last Ford I owned with a reverse lockout, the height of the shift knob sets where the lock out rides. Too low and you can't disengage the lockout, too high and it won't ever fully engage. The latter might be your problem.
Thx so much for trying to recreate it and help me with this. I'll bring it up to the dealer when I go in - need to get in about a couple other things - mainly to install hitch which they forgot about.
I'll let you know what they say

Biggest annoyance is the plastic trim below the B pillar at the rear of the door-I keep popping it off getting in and out my Bronco.

Other than that this is my most favorite vehicle I've owned
Ditto. We loved our 2022, 2 door WT so much, we traded in our Volvo and added a leftover 2024 4 door WT to the stable last week. I've never had a vehicle bring me so much joy. Over a year in with the 2 door and I still look for BS reasons to drive it...then take the long way there and home. I've had some good vehicles, but none have made me this happy, not even the 2010 F-150 Raptor or the 2016 SRT 392 Challenger. I'm a novice off road, but the Bronco amazes me with what it can do on trails. I just hope my rapidly increasing confidence does not get too far ahead of my abilities!

Trying to write a list of what I love about my Broncos would be a novel. The dislike list is short and for the most part, fixed.

Dislikes:
The tiny tank on the 2 door could be supplemented by down sizing that MONSTEROUS exhaust. Even a 5 gallon reserve tank would be great. Installed a Borla Climber Touring exhaust which is minimally louder than stock, but far deeper tone. It moves the main can forward of the axle and between the frame rails leaving a cavernous void behind the axle with only a smallish resonator there.

The WT plastic rear bumpers are a total joke. They might meet Federal impact standards, but they are ugly and they are attached with threaded inserts into PLASTIC. I stripped 3 of the brass bumper inserts during removal because the thread locker on the bolts exceed the thread shear strength of the female threaded inserts in the plastic bumper. It would not be hard to rip that thing off on even a mild trail. There are many aftermarket fixes for that. Got the ADD Rockfighter front and rear for the 2 door, it had plastic front and rear. Thinking the ARB unit on the back of 4 door. It has the HD Modular front which seems decent and serviceable.

I dislike the non-adjustable seat belt. On the 2 door it ends up rubbing my neck. A cheap Velcro wrap around pad fixed that. It's not nearly as bad on the 4 door since the B pillar is further forward, but that slightly interferes with "elbow out" driving.

The interior lights are miserable on both Broncos. In the PNW, we live much of our lives in darkness. The Mabett light kit completely fixed that on both Broncos. That was the first upgrade on the 4 door.

Less glitchiness in the infotainment system would be nice. But, it's far better than the '22 Volvo was....and that had a Google infotainment system. It was often at odds with my freaking Google phone! The wife's Apple work way better with the Volvo than my freaking Android. The Bronco seems to be getting better with updates and I'm not sure it's always the Bronco. My Pixel 8 Pro phone has its share of short comings.

I'm sure others have experienced this. But I hate the attention it attracts. Living in a beach community and one that prides themself on their physical fitness, I expected more girls to be attracted to my Bronco. Instead, mostly old dudes want to admire the Bronco. 😒
.... if the same things happens when you rent a Mazzaratti, it might be "you".

1. After 5 years, the ignorance and/or failure of Ford to test and correct issues with flat towing and a foolproof method that doesn't require pulling fuses, etc. So far (maybe 2K miles towed now) I've had no problems but it is a big worry.

2. No OEM or aftermarket option to mount a MagSafe charger and secure phone holder on the back side of the Aux switch box overhead. This is the obvious place for a phone as all other locations have more negatives:
-The mag charger in the console is shared with storage and inconvenient to just throw a phone there without moving everything. And when out in the boonies, the cell signal is worse down in there with all the shielding.
- The left and right flat places up on top of the dash is not a good place due to sun.
- The center threaded accessory mount, if used for a phone, blocks the view out the already small windshield. If an extension arm is used, the phone or arm will bang against the dash top and block some of the windshield view or center display view or both. And I don't really need a view of the phone screen if using CarPlay or Android Auto.
- Various vent, grab handle, and other location clips just get in the way on the cramped interior. And a wire to power the MagSafe would always be dangling.
I don't understand why it hasn't occurred to Ford to build the holder/magsafe into the center overhead area. Then I get in and throw the phone up there, out of the way, using wireless CarPlay, and all is good.

3. No glasses holder with the Aux switch option. Maybe some aftermarket company can come up with a combined holder and phone MagSafe/secure holder that mounts on the back of the Aux switch module overhead. There is also quite bit of room in that cubbyhole on each side over the doors for some small container.

4. No option to change or designated Aux switch to always powered. I wanted to wire up my aux braking system (for flat towing) power to an Aux switch but it needs to be powered when vehicle is off. Im OK with a flashing light while it's on as a warning. So I had to drill a hole (on the right side of the headlight control module) and mount my own switch with warning illumination.

5. No easy option for removing and replacing the "Aux x" illuminated legends on the aux switches, with a translucent or negative (black background with clear font or image) label generated from my common labelmaker.

... I should probably have it checked out. Only thing I hate
is my 12" screen going DARK 6 minutes after I start driving.
I've checked settings, ran updates, everything. Maybe it's
just the sun being so close at the windshield. Anyone else?

My squeaky clutch pedal that has been plaguing me since about 8k miles on my 2021 Big Bend. It functions fine but its super annoying. The dealership replaced the clutch pedal and master cylinder last summer, however it didnt resolve the noise.

Thankfully my 2025 Badlands will be build on 8/4.
Have you attempted to lube the pivot points?

I sprayed first pedal with like WD 40 a few years ago but it did nothing. I'm assuming I didn't use the right lube or grease the pivot points?

Do you have tint on the windshield and side windows?

If there’s something you seriously hate about the Bronco then you might have bought the wrong vehicle. It does what it does, pretty damn well.
This is a very true statement. There are things that I feel could have been designed and tested better, but nothing that I would get rid of the vehicle over. I have said it many times on this forum, I think the Bronco is one of the best options for a modern vehicle out there today.

The things I "hate" are industry directions not unique to the Bronco or even Ford for that matter.

We're sunglass junkies. I have all three of these. They all work great:

Top Holder
Visor Holder
Console Holder (lined w/felt)
