So I just added a '24, 4-dr WT to the stable to keep my '22, 2-dr WT company. The 2-dr came with the awful plastic bumper, but it had the OEM fog lights. The 4-dr has a modular bumper with no fog lights. Does anyone know if the front wiring harness would still have the OEM fog light connections and a functional push bottom switch in the light control knob? It would be nice to save the accessory switches for other things if possible.

I think it has the harness but you may need to replace the light switch (and enable it with Forscan) with the appropriate model to get the fog light button back, if you don’t have the fog light button already

Also the harness that comes with the mod bumper has a different connector than the one with the plastic bumper. No idea why

There are a few posts around here on how to do that if needed

Thanks Brian! The knob seems to have the push button there, but you believe that would be disabled? That makes sense since there is nothing to be powered.

I think if you have the button already it’s probably enabled. Push it and see if you get the green fog light indicator on the dash?

You have to look for it. Remove the plastic shroud around your tow hook and look on the bottom of the tow hook inside. There's usually a pigtail taped up on either side in there with a cap on it. If you have front sensors it's probably there but double check.

Then let us know which of our fog kits you are going with and we can tell you which pigtail that we make to order. You'll also need to source your own Ford fog switch to replace your current headlight switch AND program the circuit live with Forscan but it'll save a button.

Trucks with mod bumpers do not have a fog switch on the dash. You need to replace your current headlight cluster switch with one that has the fog button.

Thanks for the feedback back. I realize now my '22 has the little fog light emblem on the button....which means the switch assembly is a different part number....which means they would probably eliminate the switch in the assembly without the little graphic on the button.

The 22 has fog lights you said, so it has a fog light switch

Your 24 has a modular bumper, no fog lights. So no fog light switch. You need to check for the harness near the tow hooks on the '24.

But yes if you have wires there we do make a pigtail to connect to that and our fog kits. You'd then also need to buy a new switch and program that circuit to be active via forscan.

This is the correct answer. If you have the front proximity sensors you should have a harness next to the recovery points. If you don’t have sensors you may not have the harness.

M2DZ-11654-DC is the part number you’ll need for the headlamp switch. And you’ll need to enable it in Forscan.
