Also want to make updates on the floor rattle complaint I had earlier in this thread for when I had it laid down flat…still working on a full proof fix but letting the hydraulics hold it up like this also helps out a ton with little to no rattle now. Going to be adding the carpet installation for the panels as well so that should help to reduce any metal rattle at all when laying down as well!

Ford Bronco EZ 4x4 Bronco Trunk review and discount code 1745411301729-97

FYI above if anyone is interested in the sliding door for the Bronco trunk. I was asking if the "fits all 4-door models" sliding door they have currently listed on their website would work for the Bronco. In about 90 days they will be listing the Bronco sliding door with a lock on it, so you can easily put something longer in the trunk that will fit through that opening. In about 30 days they will be taking pre-orders for it.

I have the Tuffy molle folding tailgate table. It works with this trunk. That one was designed to work with the Tuffy trunk, which I was originally going to get before finding this trunk.

found ways to make it work and the team at EZ 4x4 have been extremely helpful in making sure I’m happy with the EZ trunk! Can’t thank them enough!

They suggested to leave the farthest panel back flip over and open and the rattle became obsolete for the most part since there’s space for the bass to pass through, not 100% full proof but going to keep making adjustments until it’s 100%

Anyone using this on a Raptor?
I've got one in my raptor. Had to trim a little off the metal sides and remove one small part. Was a little pain but it works phenomenal now.

Just finished the install. Took extra time (though the 30 minute claim seems to be on the 'I have done this before several times' side of things ;) ) because I thought I could get the OEM tie-downs to work. They just don't fit on the back side very well. Turning them around (180 from stock orientation) will get them to just barely go in flat, but then the EZ Trunk inself will not fold down flat on the floor due to the tie downs propping it up a bit. I left the front (i.e. on the closest to the hatch) tie downs in and perhaps I will work out some tie down points on the trunk itself for the "back" side (i.e. closest to the rear passenger seats).

Two niggles:

1) Already smacked one of my rear speaker pods pretty good folding/unfolding it (from 'trunk' to 'lie flat' configuration). If the marketing/directions warned of this propensity I missed it. User has to be conscious of this when folding/unfolding it.

2) Instead of Phillips head for the screws for the side brackets, something like hex head should be standard instead as few are going to have a Phillips short enough for the bracket that is just under the roll-bar.

Overall the unit is as advertised. We will see about rattles but I'm thinking it won't be an issue as it's put together pretty well and seems to have rubber/foam in the right places.

Any new discount codes? I'm thinking of getting this during the Massachusetts tax-free weekend.

To those who have this installed - can you give me a measurement as to where the closed lid contacts the tailgate when everything is closed, and how thick that lid is?

Trying to tell if this would work with my existing tailgate table (which isn't a Bronco-specific design but I made it work) and dimensions would help greatly before I pull the trigger.

Thanks!

Lid is on stored position bc my top is on, and my pull out drawer is in the way but I grabbed this...you can see the little dirt line just over those rivet style dots/ fasteners. Those supporting brackets (makes w arrows) are lined up with the line.

My EZ4x4 table sits right at 3" below the top of the tailgate.

You're going to love the product. Owner was quick with support when I had some questions, the unit is DEAD SILENT unlike the OEM solution. I went all in and got the Trunk, Drawer and Tailgate table honestly couldn't be happier.

Top off, trunk up and drawer configured high as a shelf for my MTB gear. Top on, trunk stored and shelf serves as a divider for the storage space, allowing me to store gear under ana still have space above it . No more unloading gear to make space for Lowe's runs etc.
.for and finish is top notch, should have done this when it all came out.

I like this as a solution with the top off but I also have a down firing Sub box in the rear. Some folks said they had rattling with the tailgate box, does anyone have experience with a down firing sub in the cargo area?

Sending an update here with a rear trunk sub — after owning this for almost a year now, this is beyond legit and highly recommend. Especially if you have a soft top. It used to rattle at first with my sub In the trunk for some reason but stopped rattling after a week or so.
