We went to Prentice Cooper wildelife managment area today. We rode Haley and went out tower to pot point. I consider thisight 4 wheeling.

These tires have very little offroad use. They have less than 19k miles on them.
These tires suck. Why put these on a baands for rock crawling. Ford fail.

I hit the same spot at Prentice yesterday with stock goodies. @TheI3lindMan was with and also hit it with stock Goodyears. Give them 25k miles and the bite is substantially less and cake with mud easily (I just replaced mine at 27k).

Our biggest issue for us was clearance more than anything else. @TheI3lindMan did great. Rusty on the other hand is a fat bitch with even worse clearance, given extra squat from my roof rack, awning, winch and rock sliders. The other guys with us on +37's absolutely killed it. The extra couple inches of clearance makes such a big difference.

As far as the puncture - it's expected to happen, especially with some of the jagged edges. Be really glad it wasn't a side wall!

I pulled the trigger on some Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/Ts. Now I can run a 37s on and off highway. I was waiting till I had all the parts and install done to go to 40's, oh well.

Looks like a fun trail. What PSI were your goodyears at when they took the puncture?

36# per square, it is mostly a gravel road. There are 4 places that would be rough on a 2wd. 3 have a go around.

I agree 100% ... do not like those stock tires. That said I also had ~4ea plugs in my BFG K02's as well before it was all said and done at 50k. I went with some D1 128Q LT truck tires as replacements ... hopefully they are more resilient. We shall see ... they ride just fine on the freeway whether I am towing my travel trailer or just cruising to work. I did go with 35X11.50R17LT on my non-squatch badlands and still have both my crash bars in place with no rubbing.

I do have a 1in leveling kit in the front so that probably makes things work and it looks really good IMO ... :). She is not a pavement princess. I bought here to enjoy her reasonably. She's nbt a Raptor.

"Reasonably" ... don't break anything if possible but leave as many scars on the "bash" plates as possible ... :)

Hard to tell from the pics, but those do look like razor rocks and since you were at full pressure I'm not surprised.

I've got 17K of hard on and off road miles on mine, and so far I've lost one to a particularly tough desert bush with 3 in thorns. It punctured the carcass in about four different places all within a couple of inches so it couldn't be repaired.

Would an E Rated Mud or Swamper have done any better? Perhaps, but I wouldn't be surprised if in the exact situation I still ended up punctured.

I have to be honest these C rated tires have proved more robust than I expected. Given how light they are and their low cost, I wouldn't be surprised if I keep using them...

Those rocks aren't sharp, the ones on the other side of the creek however are. This happened 15 minutes later on main gravel trail. I pulled the tires off today and noticed a lot of triangle looking gravel in the tread blocks. Both holes were "V" shaped.

Drill baby drill! :ROFLMAO:

Yea, the mileage on these is not that good either - I'm guessing I will get to 25k, maybe a little more, before there is not enough tread for wheeling around here.

Like everything it is a matter of matching needs/preferences with attributes. I certainly rate tire weight, and thus unsprung weight in relation to (mostly) on road performance more than most. Most folks don't drive like I do
