I'm losing air out of one of my tires. I've checked for nails, punctures, sidewall rips. I can't see anything. I re torqued the bolts and made sure the valve stem was securely screwed in. I'll check it again in the morning.
But up until this point I've never had an issue with them and I still don't know if the leak has anything to do with the bead lock.

In certain situations, watching for bubbles is mandatory.

Yeah, I wish (would be a welcome relief). I just finalized brokering a sale/acquisition of a full-blooded stallion. Been at it most of the day, with short trips on the tractor mowing the pasture........."fun" times. Trying to get some entertainment on B6G during short breaks.

I never liked the spare tire delete. For some reason, I LIKE this one. VERY nice looking "Bobtail".
Well, he’s got dual exhausts and a custom bumper so it looks bad axx!

Running 38's with beadlocks for about 6 months now. Just make sure you get a quality tire to put on there so you don't need to balance them and beadlock them multiple times.

I'm still running the original 35" MTs on my Wildtrack Sas with the Ford performance bead lock rings. After over 5,000 miles, absolutely no problems, on or off road. I re-torqued to 48 ft-lbs at 500, 1000 and now every 2k miles with no movement on bolts after the initial re-torque at 500 miles. Longest period of time between airing down and back up again has been about 6 weeks, and the pressure in all four tires has been rock solid during that time.

When I first mounted mine I mounted the spare and let it sit over night, it lost about 10lbs. I removed the ring and used Extra Seal tire mounting compound between the tire and wheel to seal. after 2 yrs no leaks.

I mounted all of mine with Murphy's tire soap. Same idea. Lube up the bead, inside and outside, and follow the ford torque procedure. The only problem I ran into was not paying attention on the first bead I broke and I ended up damaging a valve stem when the bead slid down and hit the TPMS sensor. I bought 50 valves on Amazon for $15, put the sensor on the new valve stem and installed. Working great ever since.

are bead lock rings safe for daily street driving? I thought I read not to do that but don’t know why not.

I might be mistaken, but I believe part of it comes from outdated laws regarding two-piece wheels that would come apart in a catastrophic manner whilst in use on heavy equipment. It’s also believed that as the tire rotates, the changing load applied to the beadlock and thus, the bolts, amplifies the fatigue on the bolts, causing them to fail. Since the bead is not actually set inside the wheel but against the beadlock, the tire effectively blows out. It also used to be common that beadlocks would lose significant amounts of air. With modern tpms the air loss, if applicable to your setup, isn’t much of a concern.

Rock monster is the only street legal beadlock. What comes on your Bronco is not street legal.
