Funny you mention that recall on the 1996 for brake master cylinder sensor recall due to fires. It was a problem on the OBS trucks too, as my 1996 F150 also had it and had the recall work done.
Yeah, basically the same vehicle

Don't quite understand, lemon law has nothing to do with independent dealership franchises. It's purely between you and manufacturer. If the car is off the road for generally 30 days or more, you're most likely entitled to compensation at a bare minimum for the loss of use during that period.
There is more to the goings on. I did not actually own the jeep. My deceased cousin's estate owned it. However, if it would need further attention. I have the means of seeing it done. Now that the estate is settled i now own the vehicle.

I have three recalls on my 2022 bronco wildtrak (rear shocks, rear camera, low pressure fuel pump). The 2022 jeep wrangler has a plethora in comparison. Jeep is not the answer lol.

Too funny... every time you look at the JL grill... remember FORD designed the original. Ford won the government design contest and willies got the contact to build them. Ford was busy build tanks, aircraft, etc.
Bantam designed the OG. Ford started the stamped slotted grille.
And Willies isn't a thing - it's Willys, pronounced like Willis, as in "What you talking bout Willis?"
If you're gonna dog on the Jeeps, at least get your facts correct so you don't look like an idiot.

Furthermore, they (the good ol' US of A) took the design from Bantam who won the design phase saying they did not have the capacity to build them. They awarded it to Willy's (as in pineapple willy's is a fine place to drink... not because you are wrong but by god I'll say it how I want!). They ended up not being able to produce enough so Ford made some of the HEEPs for the war effort.

My great great (maybe one great i cant remember) uncle worked for Bantam. Karl Probst. He was indirectly involved in inventing the Jeep. Well maybe a little more then indirectly, i like to downplay that one since i don't get a discount lol. https://www.treadmagazine.com/vehicles/jeeps/karl-probst-father-of-the-jeep/

My coworker just had to have the engine replace on her 2022 2.0l turbo wrangler. 26k miles. I did the front brakes and rotors for her when the dealership wanted 900 to change them. I told her hey this engine sounds like its gonna rattle apart and i smell coolant. aaaand the engine was toast.

Well i brought my 21 OB Advanced in for the recall and while they were torture testing it for the second time (they had a computer glitch and had to restart the test) it developed a misfire on cylinder 1 and they told me i will be getting a new engine. Mind you i bought this used two weeks before i brought it in for the recall. I'm glad the engine is getting changed. I'm excited to get it back, i love this truck. Also, that torture test is wild. They park the truck outside and use the computer to bring it to 4,000 rpm for 55 minutes. If the engine blows up ,,, you need a new motor. if it doesn't, you get a warranty. Lol pretty wild. One cool thing was my ford pass app actually alerted me during the test of an engine code. My last truck was an 08 suburban so that was cool to me.

Cant wait to get my truck back and enjoy it!

Need to re-read it... never did that. I like Jeeps, Willies

Seems you need to read more history on them .
Ford did build some for the war w/willies engines
over their life, till the end of American Motors they used a lot of subcomponents from Ford.

FYI a Ford engineer was recruited to work for willies, and had a big hand in the development of the jeepster... [AMX too] how do I know because it was my Uncle ;^)

The govt didn't "take" the design. It was a design contest. the submissions were always going to be "taken" by the govt.

The also "took" a Chrysler engine & gave it to Ford to use for something they were building because they wanted the

When did I say Ford didn't build them?
They built like 250k during the War.

All I said is that Willies isn't the correct name.
It's never been Willies, it's Willys with a Y & pronounced like Willis

I have a ‘24 Badlands Sasquatch, bought new. Only 1 unrepairable recall and that’s the Rear shock absorber external reservoir corrosion. I have noticed a lot of other issues especially with the screen and connections with my phone. Especially when talking on it.

We have had a negative balance of trade deficit since 1977. For decades generations people have said, "we ought to do something about that...someday." But never, "now." Cheap oil in the 1970s-90s, cheap goods from Asia since then, it was just so nice to get all that stuff...cheap.
It was addictive. Coming off an addiction is painful.
That's what all this tariff stuff is about: forcing foreign entities to stop dumping their cheaply sourced products on the affluent American economy--namely, the American consumer. Yeah, it hurts, but ask anybody who kicked some monkey off his back if that was pleasant. Or easy.

We were told to "expect uncertainty." And we're getting just that, as manufacturers, distributors, and consumers adjust. And Ford is, too, as they figure out how to source (and price!) parts for both manufacturing and repair. This link ranks how vehicles rank for American-sourced parts. Note the high ranking of Hondas and Toyotas:

https://www.cars.com/articles/2024-...ndex-which-cars-are-the-most-american-484903/

Bronco comes in at 73 out of 100. This will hurt us as Ford works out US-based suppliers.

Back to economics: Lest my post be (mis)construed as "political," I emphasize that this deplorable matter has been going on through both parties' administrations: Lots of blame to go around here!

Last thought: An old economic maxim, "That which cannot go on forever...won't."

For generations we've been knowingly saddling our children, grandchildren, and their children with debt so we can enjoy cheap foreign-sourced goods. Time for that to stop.

It'll hurt.

America has produced garbage vehicles using totally 100% domestic parts, and it has produced garbage using a mixture of domestic and foreign parts.

You want quality, buy a Honda.

Unfortunately Honda is not what it used to be. Ford does have a slight problem though ;).

Honda’s still probably the best you’ll find.

Always felt like quality was built in.
