im trying to figure out if there is a way to get rid of the ( not sure the official term for them) Sync top bar with the clock and temp and the bottom bar with the “tabs” for nav and the other “Ford” things while I am in CarPlay. i was hoping I could get the CarPlay screen to use the entire display. Not sure if that’s possible or not. When I’m trying to do something in Gaia or the music app one of my other gorilla fingers I wasn’t actually using randomly wants in on the action and I inadvertently tap one of the tabs along the bottom row. That bounces me into the Bronco setting screen or one of the other tabs. It drives me nuts.
before the pitchforks and torches come out… of course I am parked when I am touching the screen….honest.
I’ve had Mazdas for the last 15 years or so and the ones that had CarPlay, the screen was taken up completely by CarPlay and to get to the Mazda stuff you just used a Mazda app icon on the screen. Of course Mazda being the kings of babysitting there is no touchscreen in my current cx5 so I don’t have the same issue as in the Bronco.
