Spent yesterday afternoon on Bald Mountain in the Sierras. This was my second time running this trail - last time I took Bow Tie trail, which is the easier route. This time I took the main, more challenging trail.

A lot of fun and perfect weather. Saw a few Broncos, including one nice looking Raptor at the summit.

Installed the @BROADDICT Traildeck
IMG_2368.jpeg
Now that I have solid measurements that thing is so tempting but def tough to swallow at $700. That said it is the only thing on the market that can do what it does right now. Being able to store tools in there 24/7 nice and organized would be the best reason to buy.

I finally got my Trailrax with pack rax on this weekend.

I got the tool holder off someone local for cheap, glad I did because I am not overly impressed by it and annoyed it can't really hold my splitter well. I'll likely install quick fists to handle the splitter after I get the awning situation figured out.

I already installed the awning mounts, need longer bolts for the 270 awning to install in the position I want it to be in so waiting on those then I can mess with heights.

I want the awning to match the RTT height when I get that eventually and I want it to be tucked down a bit. Unfortunately this means I will likely have the mounts sticking way up for a while till I dial everything in and can cut the mount heights down to where their final resting place will be.

Also had some time to finally install this 2.3 engine cover that’s been in my garage for a year. Pretty easy install about an hour. Reuses some bolts and of course most of my time is spent finding the right size ratchet in my mess off random tools. Cover doesn’t do much other than make the engine bay look like something other than a bunch of wires and tubes etc.

Looks great. I did the same and found a shop to paint in body color for $300. Makes the bay stand out.

First time playing with Forscan...got Sport Mode, got rid of the double honk, got rid of the piped engine noise, added global windows up, did the turn signal thing, and the door ajar chime.

I get it. I’m not sure I’d drop that either. Getting in at the early discount made it easier. The drawer is really only deep enough for tools and straps, but I like the level cargo area with the seats down. I’ve drivin’ it around all day. No rattles so far.
I wish it was designed for current tailgate tables. @BROADDICT will likely take my money when they redesign theirs or I may just go molle.

The level cargo area would definitely be appealing too because I sleep in the back quite often when I do enduros. Also being able to slide my fridge out when it's back there too.

Took advantage of Prime Day, purchased a new shop/garage roller stool, and the Midland GXT67 GMRS Pro Radio. Needed a radio for the trails, and my old Ironside stool has served me well, but it has seen much better days.

Happy I decided to wait for Prime Day because both were on sale, and I received a pretty decent discount!

Seven Sparta Grab Handles for front and back. Realized the need for these the last time I had top and doors off in full safari mode.
Also added seat bel covers
