I have the RC high mount so I need some frame help up there lol

I've been researching my options lately and figured I’d share the information I’ve collected in case it helps others doing the same. I’m still undecided on which kit I’ll go with, so in addition to feedback on the different options, let us know how the install went and which one you’d recommend—and why.

This thread is a master list of frame horn reinforcement options currently available (Listed prices as of June 2025). The goal is to make it easier for members to compare features, installation requirements, and overall value.

I'll keep the list updated as new products come out or as people post their experiences. If you know of another option or have used one of the kits listed, feel free to chime in with feedback or photos!

I've been recommending Metal Tech. I hadn't seen the Motorworx offering before, looks decent too, it's obvious who they were inspired by...

Or Lobo if money is no object.
Which do you think is the better of the 2?

Probably MT by a hair. That 4 week lead time is a bit excessive, if I played by that model I might still be making them but I don't like making a buyer wait.

Great list, definitely a must when winching. I went a different route and eliminated them all together. Cut them off and added 1/2” plate to bolt a winch plate on. Was able to weld them against the body mount that passes through the frame.

Now that is a permanent fix! This is the sort of thing I've done to older vehicles without a care, but for some reason people are more picky with their 50k+ Broncos 😂

Installing the metal tech right now. If you have a body lift you will have a much easier time installing these mounts. Shit is tight!

Hard to say truly how much reinforcement there will be. You gain a small bolt from the intercooler mount then another bolt that runs though the frame, but really that’s it. Better, certainly. Can’t be certain how much though

I don’t get this reply!? I’m trying to understand the small clearance he’s talking about. I’m going to install a winch saddle but still deciding on how to reinforce the frame.

He’s simply showing us a successful alteration of his personal algorithm suggestions. Try as I might be searching for kittens I still have grindr ads popping up 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not really liking any of the options on the market rn. A bent metal plate is not sufficient, needs some gusset.. And I heard about fitment issues for many brands. Ford OEM sells brackets as well, and they should be a perfect fit

MT is gusseted similar to how I did mine, and I've seen what mine can endure so I feel good about recommending MT.

Motorworx really should add a gusset but it would require welding on at least one edge and I bet that one weld would double their production cost per bracket.

I have the A.D.D. ones. Had to modify the factory nut plate.
I had to modify the ADD brackets. They were a very poor fit and I do not recommend. And I've seen others report the same thing, so it wasn't just me. The silly shims they ship with the kit leads me to suspect there was a design error in the stamping die.

ah man, i just ordered a set of ADD... at the time when you installed them, did they come with spacers? how much of the factory nut plate did you have to cut?
Ditch the plates and buy some high quality nylocks.
