I've replaced the platic molded in floor OEM box with the metal DV8 offering - nearly doubled storage in that area for me, allowing me to put nearly all of my tools, hand saw, tire repair kit and bottle jack and accessories in that single storage area. And I still carry my OEM scissor jack and a few other odds and ends stored in the OEM jack area. It's very useful space that I don't want to loose use/access to - even though most of the time I hope I don't need access to it or use of the stuff in it....
I... am unaware of this particular DV8 product. I will absolutely have to check this out.

Also haven't heard of ToughBuilt, but after a quick Google search it looks similar to Milwaukee Packout.

How do you like the DV8 box? I'm interested in it, but I'd like to see the box and ideally one installed before getting one. Any issues installing it?

Trailrax has mounts for Milwaukee PACKOUT boxes.

Yes, ToughBuilt is siimilar in concept to the Milwaukee Packout. A few key things that I considered going with them over Milwaukee -

1 - ToughBuilt is slightly smaller by width, and 2 will fit side by side in the back of the Bronco (Milwaukee will not). This was the biggest reason I went this route.
2 - The "separation" mechanism when stacked is a single handed operation accessible from the front. So, if/when I have them staked in the back I can seprate them from the front and not have to have hands on either side of them to separate

The DV8 in floor storage has been a great storage option - it is metal, versus plastic. For me, on the Raptor, it was a super easy install - since my exhaust is different and I could just drop the bin from the top without messing with any exhaust brackets for the install. There are various install videos out there on it for both Raptor and non-Raptor - but overall, a super easy install and great upgrade for storage. It is essentially a plate that sits on the interior of the cargo area and then that bolts to the lip of a new storage bin that sits below the floor of the cargo area. They make two models - with one being designed to house a dual air compressor (to which DV8 has advised not to run a compressor without having the cargo area open for ventilation).

On the Raptor, it is a super easy install since I don't have the same exhaust and I could drop the bin in from the top. On a non-Raptor, the bin is put in place from the bottom (based on the videos I watched) and requires an exhaust bracket to be loosened to fit it in place and then reattached afterwards. It's essentially two pieces - a flat piece that sits on top of the bare cargo floor, and the bint that bolts to that top piece once in place. I've had mine for a couple of months and have done water crossings, and trail riding in muddy wet conditions and no issues.

I've been trying to think of what to put in that spot. I wanted someting that didn't require much access. Gave up on an air tank, so it will probably be batteries.

I was hoping they'd have one at Overland Expo. They didn't sent their demo Bronco to California the previous week. Thought that was sort of dumb. But they do development in CA and needed the Bronco.

I'll have take a close look at the videos. I'm wondering about clearance between the exhaust system and the DV8 box.

Goose and AAL both make "system" floors that allow various add on mounting options for drawers, slides etc. Both sacrifice most or part of the access to the OEM in floor storage.

I've replaced the platic molded in floor OEM box with the metal DV8 offering - nearly doubled storage in that area for me, allowing me to put nearly all of my tools, hand saw, tire repair kit and bottle jack and accessories in that single storage area. When we go on rides or road trips, I have a 12v fridge and at least 1 hard case and a bin for my recovery gear and air equipment (It's a Raptor, no option for in engine mounting of a compressor). I actually went with the ToughBuilt stacking tool storage system becasue the mechanism to detach them is one button on the front - which makes them easy to get to when stacked in the back cargo area. When I drive on trails with this setup - it will and does shift. Thus the desire to want a tie down option.

...which is why I had landed on something like the M2M pull out tray (Diabolitcal, Packhorse, etc.).

The unicorn would be a slide out platform that still allows for access to the in floor storage, AND lets me install a slide out for the 12v fridge on top of it - so I could pull out just the fridge, or the entire back...
Check with Wicked Relics OffRoad / The Packhorse. They offer all kinds of custom build-outs.

This is what I went with from Wicked Relics.

It is on the way, can give you a review once I have it in hand.

Kind of a best of both worlds with a slide out storage drawer and a top tray that you can load stuff on top of. Full access to the cargo storage bins without having to remove the drawer or the back rail. I went with the flip up top tray but I know he offers a slide out top tray as well.

And Chris is fantastic to deal with !!

I mounted mine a few weeks ago; running achigh mounted after market muffler, and I was able to install without assistance from under the Bronco. I’ve since removed the muffler so no pic to share re clearance, but in their video they show a stock muffler and it has plenty of clearance.

The Packhorse pull out tray (versus basket) is on my short list - but haven't seen too much about it when looking on Youtube or Bronco Forums. My Iceco APL35 is 27" deep - so I need options that will accommodate that depth - thus looking at the tray versus basket offering from WRO if I go that route - planninng for my fridge to need to overhang the front edge a bit.

M2M is similar in feature set - but not as wide, even though it is deep enough to accommodate my Iceco APL35.

I'm sure Chris would work with you on the tray dimensions so it works for you.

I think I have the 1st Packhorse for the 2 door with seat delete. Chris was awesome to work with and even met me halfway and installed it himself. I have been very happy with the product. I believe it works with the packet stuff as well although I don't use those.

Just as an update - I have been in touch with Chris from Wicked Relics Offroad and am working with him on a custom fabricated tray that will mount to the top of the full cargo area tray to accommodate my fridge. He's been very responsive and informational - and I'm looking forward to working out the details and seeing the end result.

I'm also considering getting the packhorse. I'd like to see some pictures of it with a fridge strapped and totes/boxes strapped to it. The attachment points look limited.
