Hello, everyone.

I got out of cancer treatment and took some time to recover. I haven't been able to do much with my Bronco, but am feeling somewhat better now and would like to do some stuff to it. First order of business... has anyone found a high-quality tonneau cover that doesn't have the straps running down the tailgate? I figure somebody has probably come out with a good one while I was out of commission (over a year). Would love to hear any recommendations you guys might have.

I only have seen them for the 4 dr so far. Unfortunately the 2 Dr often gets forgotten when it comes to aftermarket items. If I could find a good one I would be interested as well.

Nothing yet that I've seen, the one with straps is four door only. There's been a few home built ones that have been posted if you're handy.

I'm a +1 here if you find something. I grabbved a Bronco Bikini which is awesome to cover the cabin without putting on a full top - but it leaves the back wide open. It would be nice if there was something to cover the rear area. Or, if I'm being really greedy, something that would even let you fold down the rear two seats and cover that entire span as well.

I had the Ford Accessories version with the strap for my 4 door. I didn't love the way the straps looked, but they did the job of keeping things out of sight when the top and doors were off and the rain off of stuff.

I recently bought a new 2 door and spent a lot of time looking for a comparable item and finally found this one. Ordered it and we'll see...

How did that eBay cover work?
Sorry for the delay; just did the convert to summer mode.

It's okay, not as good as the Ford one. The materials are inferior and it uses Velcro rather than a zipper to secure it around the roll bar.

But since Ford doesn't make one, it's awesome. It will keep eyes off of anything I happen to have back there for a moment and keep the rain and dust off.

Would be nice if it covered the whole back with the back seats folded down. I think the majority of 2 door owners rarely use the back seats.

It’s funny, I use the rear seats in my 2-door all the time.
My guess is you are an exception…we have 2-2 doors and I would say the seats are down 98% of the time in both…but the kid is 17 and has her own car and we don’t like people….or is it maybe people don’t like us…idk 😂

Glad you’re starting to feel better. It’s too bad Ford builds with aluminum panels because you could have magnets sewn into the back edge sort of like jtopsusa does their Bimini tops that attach to the steel roll cage and ditch the straps.

The rear quarter panels are steel. Tailgate, doors hood and front fenders are aluminum

OP talking about wanting a tonneau without straps running down the tailgate. When I stated back edge, I meant tailgate, not sides.

Back seats in a 2 door require a double jointed monkey to get in & out. Useless in my case, so the back seats reside in the barn. Need a 2 door cover that covers the back seats when down and extends covering the entire cargo area and also could be rolled up & secured to the seat backs to only cover the area with the back seats up.
