I'm in the market for a 2-door Bronco, and just started my search. I've found a handful of 2025 base models for sale in my area, as well as one 2024 Big Bend model still listed as new. I'm looking for some guidance/advice on whether the added features of the Big Bend would be worth the trade-off of not getting the 2025 improvements.

I have a 21 BB and happy with that. The 24 BB MIGHT have a rear locker the 25 Base will not. That would make the 24 the much better choice. If the BB does not have a locker it's just personal choice on tint/grille/color/wheels etc.

Was the locker an option on the 24 BB (not standard)?

'25 would have the new all digital gauge cluster. Probably worth it for that, unless you need the leather steering wheel, or like was also said, if the BB has some options.

I just checked the listing for the 24, and it says it has "4.27 Final Drive Ratio W/Rear Locking Differential". I'm assuming this is what you were referring to?

Are you getting the auto? And you ever going to get tires larger than 32"?

Yes! Always the first thing I look for. I've had dozens of 4x4s and never had a locker until the last few. Vital with the Bronco IFS IMHO. Even on moderate trails they tend to lift a tire once in a while. They are very hard to add after the fact because of the differential construction. And the 4.27 is better in everyday compared to the 3.73

I will most likely be getting an automatic because that's all that seems to be available near me (unless I want to try to build one to order). I'm honestly not sure if I'll get tires larger than 32", but I'd say probably not. I don't really plan to do any major modifications or any major off-roading (at least not at the moment).

Thanks for the info! I don't plan on doing any major off roading, but I do live in NW Ohio where we can get quite a bit of snow in the winter.

Sounds like the biggest trade offs is the possible rear locker on the 24 vs the new 2.3 engine in the 2025. I don't plan on doing any major off roading, but I do live in NW Ohio where we tend to get quite a bit of snow in the winter. Which is likely to be the most useful to me in the long term?

Really, for on road snow driving a locker is not important. Off road, rocks, snow, mud, sand yes.

Also depends on whether you want two-door or four-door - since the two-door is no longer available for the 25 BB. So can we say that for the 25 BB the two-door is now a No More Door? :)

I'm interested in the 2 door. That's why I am comparing the 25 base with the 24 BB.

The 2025 Bronco all come with electronic brake boosters as well, whereas the 4 cylinder models in the older years were vacuum-based. IMO the electronic booster feels better to me in terms of 'feel' if that makes sense.
