23 BD 2DR 7MT non-sas: I do not have front lockers or disco and so far have been able to go anywhere I wanted to go w/o issue, including a lot of 5/6/7 rated trails. I did upgrade to 35s (sas tackoffs) and 2" lift. Only one spot so far where FLs would have been nice, but just chose another line and went right through. May add a manual disco at some point to smooth out the ride. Will upgrade to higher end shocks once the factories wear out.....
I appreciate you sharing your experiences, the trails you went on sound more aggressive than the ones I will find in my region I suspect.

I know I posted this truck before but it's priced right for a basically new truck. You might even be able to negotiate a better loan rate if they go with "used" car loan rates. I still like the Sas setup especially for the gearing but if you don't plan to upgrade tires/wheels it might not be worth it.

Used 2024 Ford Bronco Badlands for sale in Wall, NJ 07727: Sport Utility Details - 727872539 - Autotrader
This is a very compelling option, as it has everything I want plus more at close to the price I want it for, I am not really interested in used but at only 200 miles on the Odometer, I can live that. Looks like the Ford warranty is still intact but I am a little uncomfortable buying from a used car dealership.

Do you know anything about this place?

My local dealer has a couple of them in a couple different colors. It's where we bought ours, basically exactly what you're looking for.

My suggestion would be to find one on a dealer lot (if that's what you're doing), and make an offer you think is reasonable. They may or may not jump on it.
Thanks, that's the plan, its just a pain finding a 2 door equipped the way I want as they're a lot less of them than the 4 Doors.

I think the 2.3L is fully capable unless you're climbing sand dunes and it may make a difference if you're towing a trailer. I've never had any problem merging onto the freeway either.

I bough my Badlands with the 2.3L because I wanted a manual. I have no problems on the freeway, even going up hill on the road from Phoenix to Flagstaff. Top speed in excess of 90 mph which is fast enough. I hit that on my way to the Nevada Off Roadeo.

If you have your heart set on the 2.7L by all means get it. But if you want one because you think the 2.3L is lacking, it isn't.

At rock crawling speeds gears are more important than engine power.
I think I could live with the 2.3L if given no choice, I plan on purchasing the Ford Performance Tuner for either the 2.3L or the 2.7L but the 2.7L with the Ford Performance Tuner is a lot of fun and fast from what I hear.

OP, I would say get a Badlands Non-Sas. There are a lot of them out there; I think it's the most produced trim (maybe after the Big Bend)? The 2.7L in the new ones is trickier, since Ford is really limiting that now; I don't think anything in 2dr gets it. I have the 2.3L and it's a good engine. It'll get up and move. You'll really only have extra armor you may not need in practice, but you'll have it or you can remove and sell it.

For instance, this is the straight 2dr BL with only the auto added, and it has 4A, $54k. That's what I spent on my 2023 BL w/high package (which isn't available anymore) with Sas, but Sas only adds $3k to a BL and frankly is most appearance plus lower gears and a front locker. None of the latter you'll need, mostly likely.

If you look around, or go to Granger, you can probably a find a deal. I assume there are 2022's on the lots like it, too.
I am considering just going new but I am trying to get closer to $45,000 price point, it's going to be a struggle to get $5000 for my trade in and on something that expensive the sales tax is probably going to push $3000. Lastly, I get a feeling if I order one from the factory the dealer isn't going to be interested in giving me a break on the price.

Also isn't Granger the place that does extended warranty's for Ford?

I too have a 2 door non sas badlands. Again, the only thing missing is the bigger tires, which I bought takeoffs from a first edition (wildtrack). I took off the crash bars, put on tires, and swapped fender flairs. Best bang for buck. I got almost $10k off, so $45k out the door.

Did you actually have it ordered or did you find it on the lot? Looks great btw.

Hey Chris… for a variety of reasons there are a lot of 2 door BD/BLs available in Fl. I went CPO route and am very happy. You might want to check out FL and think wether the fly down/drive back option makes sense $$ wise.

one option I rec. is the heavy duty mod bumper. Also there is no skid plate under the transmission on a BL….one thing I added thanks to a write up here.

this one is in West Palm Beach - example,

I find that pretty compelling as well. Looking at the Carfax it looks like the original dealer just sent the Bronco to auction. It's essentially a new Bronco, I think my "new" Bronco had about that many miles on it when they delivered it. I'd check that out especially if its what you are looking for. The warranty probably went into effect at the auction when the new dealer took possession so you will lose a little warranty. Pick up an extended from Granger.

Sometimes you have to think out of the box to find what you want at the price you want. I bought my HLE from a dealer in Kansas and I'm in NC, it was the best price I could find and beat the local dealers by at least $5k.

Found on lot, been sitting for months. Even if you find one across country, worth a fly and buy.

No, I have never dealt with that place so I can't offer any help.

$45k is going to be hard without ordering it, which is going to make it more of a negotiation on price. Granger is a dealership, I think in Iowa? They also sell low cost fix-priced Ford ESP warranty extension. They're just a good dealership to work with.

I would say you best be is finding a 2024 and bidding low and seeing if they come back to you. Some will be looking to move them no matter what, some may not. $45k is unfortunately a difficult number to get to if you're wanting v6 and an off road package.

Maybe look at the Base as an order, and get an order in soon? That's kinda what I wished I had done (or known about) when I got my 23 2dr BL 2.3 High package. Just depends if you feel you need or want all the modern stuff or not.

Note you can pass on an order most of the time. Granger is a good dealership to work with on orders. Some little or no deposit, usually refundable. (Mine was $100 and I got it back before it came in, plus price lock insurance, but that was a Ford reservation during COVID.) Put in an order and keep on looking. I don't think most dealerships would mind if they have a spare Base on their lot.

I have been holding out on a 2 Door Bronco Badlands with the 2.7L and the mid package, a local dealership had 3 of them for a good price but the price shot up $8000 while I was waiting on the recall for the shocks, dealer is telling me the earliest it will be ready is August and 5 other people are showing interest in them. Problem is not many of the 2 doors are floating around with the equipment I want and Ford stopped offering the them 2.7L on the 2 door for 2025 (Not counting the model for $75,000....).

I am also trying to get a final out the door price of around $45,000, most dealers that have the Bronco I want either a Badlands or a Black Diamond with the Sasquatch Package want almost $55,000 for them even though they have been sitting around for a year. So I am considering settling on a Black Diamond without the Sasquatch package as they're more of them in my area with the equipment I want at a price I find agreeable. I am just trying to figure out if I can do without the additional features of the Badlands or Sasquatch.

I live in Eastern Pennsylvania, I probably won't be doing rock crawling, just hitting trails in my area and trying to get to work in heavy snow. I see the Black Diamond has the full underside steel skid plates, which I want. I should be fine without the 4 Auto mode, I don't think I am going to be at a loss running 33" wheels, I don't think I need bead locks. What I am more upset about losing out on is the front lockers, I see they can be added on later but it will probably cost me thousands but do I even really need front lockers? The only other concern is suspension system (Hoss 1.0) much worse than what's available on the Badlands or the Sasquatch package? Plus I am sure the aftermarket and Ford Performance offer the parts to add it on down the road.

Thoughts?
I've got a Race Red 2022 Black Diamond 2.7-liter with the hard top I am about to sell. It has 51k miles. Runs great.

I gots a ‘24 Badlands, 2.7, HOSS 2.0 w/ heavy steering rack

Two things I noticed about where / how you’re driving, 1/ heavy snow - 4A is wonderful in snow and ice, especially with quality tires, 2/ not much rock crawling, mostly trails - I impact my skid plates more on rutted, uneven trails more than the moderate rock crawling I do

My 2 cents is Black Diamond with the 4A upgrade, but you’ll never not love a Badlands if that’s the way you go! Good luck

Edit: only ever needed my front lockers twice, happily use my sway bar disconnect every time I air down, love that feature
I agree 4A is great. I use it most of the time because I prefer Sport mode.

That is an option if I have no other choice but I am going to have to sell the car I plan on getting rid of up here and then fly down there, buy and drive back up. That's really going to be a PIA.
