Thanks! I’ll be there!Wow! Looks awesome. Hoping to come to the EXO run in September. May have to grab a set of these beforehand!

It's an old show outta the 60's about a vet in rural Africa ("Daktari" means "Doctor" in Swahili)? Not sure what that means, lol. MEK made me the design before I approved it.
I remember the show, I just don’t know what the design has to do with the design? I must be missing somethingIt's an old show outta the 60's about a vet in rural Africa ("Daktari" means "Doctor" in Swahili)
However, as an old (and I do mean OLD) fan of the show, I'm pretty sure Dr. Tracy's vehicle had a zebra stripe paint scheme.
Will this stick to PPF?THAT.LOOKS.FANTASTIC!!!!! WOW! such a pleasure to work with you! safe travels and happy wheeling!!!!!
Its sticks to any smooth surfaceWill this stick to PPF?
Just a small point of clarification - I believe that today's Jeeps (JL and on, at least) use aluminum alloys to a similar degree as does the Bronco. Pretty sure their hoods, doors, maybe the fenders and other stuff are Al alloy, too. So 6G Bronco's aren't Mek's first rodeo with non-magnetic offerings. Just a data point, nothing more. It's not a decal. It's a fairly thick product, about 1/8 inch thick with a design on top. The hood is covered by three sections, and is sold separately from the body side pieces: It consists of two pieces for the larger, forward/sides of the hood, and one for the center (windshield-side) hump.
On a steel-bodied vehicle, e.g. Jeep Wrangler, it is magnetic, like the a refrigerator magnet. But not for the Bronco, which uses what they call "Nano technology," whatever that is. It is a reusable adhesive. In my experience, it's not as easy or simple to apply or remove as Monika's excellent demos indicate; It's a 4-hand job, at least your first time. You want to get it aligned very carefully, as repositioning it once it's on is quite an effort, the adhesive is that strong. I consider it a long-term install. In our climes (Idaho and New England), install in Spring/summer and removal before cold/winter+ice works fine.
It should work fine to eliminate hood glare, depending on the design you pick. I think once you have that hood section on, you'll want to order the complete set for your sides--especially if you go on tight trails with branch overhangs. I've been through some pretty heavily wooded New England and Canadian woods, and nothing has broken through the MEKMagnet and reached my body finish. I'm talking woody branches, not just grasses.
For that type of risk issue, I recommend you also add Ford Performance body panels on your corners.
@mekmagnet , Monika, since I assume you monitor these threads, I suggest:
1) you show on a video how to trim the MEKMagnet around the Ford corner armor (very simple), and
2) See if you can sell/distribute/license the Ford corner armor as part of a package with your armor. It really completes the package.
Thank you for this. I watched Monika's video, and like I said, I installed many a graphic on the bikes. Hey Daniel! Monika from MEK Magnet, we only sell the nano-hold technology Bronco Hood Armor to Extreme Terrain so I am not sure what they sent you and I'll definitely need to chat to them about the misinformation they may be sharing. Our Bronco Hood Armor is available in two options from our website; nano-hold technology which is a lightweight ballistic resin with the nano-hold technology gel, this is not a magnet, you peel off the protective plastic and stick this material to the Bronco. The nano-hold technology material is not an adhesive, the stickiness is a characteristic of the material so if it ever gets dirty to loses stickiness you just wash it and air dry to reactivate. The PPV is a light duty paint protection vinyl and is designed to be DIY wet or dry installed and stay on for a few years. If you are looking for a permanent hood solution for the glare I would recommend the PPV or painting it like you suggested.Thank you for this. Thank you for this.
I had magnetic logos for my business on my H1, and I am familiar with how thick they are supposed to be. When I "discovered" this MEK Magnet thing, I was expecting something at least 1/16" (or thicker) material that I would be able to install at this time of the year and take it off before the snow flies (preserved lying flat on the original backing). I don't want to cover the whole hood, just the "hump". I also don't need the sides, because I don't take Bronc on the trails (I off road it only on my own property). The only place I found this thing was with the outfit called "Extreme Terrain", and I spoke with a live person before I ordered it, that assured me this IS a MEK Nano technology magnet, and that it can be removed/reused.
What I received was a simple 3M decal. Thicker than the previous one, but still just a sticker few mills thick.
I promptly called the retailer when I opened the package, and another lady told me that this is in fact a "decal", and it can NOT be reused once it was removed (which I knew anyway). They issued the RMA, and it's on the way back to them.
So, my glare problem is still not resolved. I am not about to buy the whole kit for the hood, in order to get the "hump" piece. It'll be much cheaper to simply paint it and forget about removing/storing it.
