David, thank you for this in depth overview of the installation process of the Molly panels.
This will really help others that have asked about the compatibility of a JTop and the DV8 Molly panel.
If we can be of any assistance please let us know and most of all thanks for being a customer.

Hi Mike!

I figured others might find this info useful, as I think there are many Jtops lovers out there in the B6G community who **might** want some sort of overhead molle hardware.

My personal reason for installing it was not for overhead storage but to get a front mounting point to ceiling mount my fly rods and long guns :) (using the M2M tilt down attic shelf as the rear mount point)

And I love how it turned out. Looks great and met all of my needs. Just a tad expensive :ROFLMAO:

Crap, it must be wonderful to live somewhere gas is affordable. Here in Washington the evertax state we haven’t seen sub $3 a gallon since the turn of this century it seems.

Had a little fun at the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab yesterday and today.
What trail is that on? Just curious. Headed there at Memorial Day. Other than a White Rim trip back in 2017, have not wheeled there since 2013 or so with my JKU.

Behind the Rocks Tip Toe. The pictures are coming down Nose Dive (AKA High Dive). It and Launch Pad on the other side of the ravine are the most difficult obstacles. Great trail but a long day.

Got it. I will be running solo with my family on board, so probably not going to do anything quite that crazy. I have heard of Nose Dive and it definitely looks nasty, especially with short wheel base.

Took the hard top panels off and re-adjusted them for a tighter fit (shop procedure has been posted in other threads here on the forum, but basically you loosen the bolts a bit, adjust the panel so it's a tight fit, then gently lift it off and tighten the bolts. Made a significant difference in reducing wind noise, which was intolerable at highway speeds.
