Also @AZ_Craig it does say it works if you remove the crossbrace. Is that a big deal, I’m ignorant to Braptors.
Works with Raptor if cross brace is removed.
Yes, that's exactly what I said in my post. I don't want to pull the cross brace out. I'm pretty sure there are some other points in the overall chasis/body that are reinforced, but the cross brace is designed to minimize flex in more "spirited" offroad driving as I understand it. Overall my take on it is that any bracing also should help with your overall ride and handle, even on pavement.

When you don't have the rigidity from a fixed roof, you probably want all the help you can get is my attitude, especially since I can run this thing pretty hard down here in Arizona sometimes :).

M2M Attic Shelf installed, which rocks. I was able to move a lot of my recovery gear up there. I installed a 1/8” rubber washer and then a 1/8” thick nylon washer at the top pivot of both sides to eliminate any rattles (suggested in another thread) and help center. I also used heat shrink on the rear latch pins. It’s as silent as can be, even more so than when I had all the gear bungeed to the back of the rear seats.

Hopefully it’ll still work with my Armadillo HT getting installed this next week, but they thought it should…

I read somewhere it won't work well with that Armadillo HT, go ahead and remove it, I'll give $50 for it. I mean it's used, value drops dramatically on used Bronco stuff.

You've got a helluva setup with everything you've done, Chris.

Are you getting a slant or square? I would think it would work with the square back easily. I have a slant and I am not sure there would be enough room.

I am interested in knowing how this works out either way.

I ordered the Squareback and pretty sure it won’t work with the Slantback. I’m not worried about the space, it’s similar to the soft top dimensions. However the concern is how the M2M top hinge plates secure to the top of the rollbar, which the Armadillo also mounts there. The M2M plates may be too thick… Will know soon enough! See this Post where we were discussing.

Had not seen this before; a little pricey, but super useful (and renders some relatively dead space in the vehicle into being way more useable.

Only bummer is it apparently will not fit with the Raptor cross brace. I'd be all over it if someone had something similar for the Raptor, but don't want to pull my cross brace out just to put something like this in.
Checkout Pura Vida Offroad’s option, I’ve seen it works with the BRaptor. This was/is my backup option if the M2M doesn’t jive with the Armadillo….but Fabian and Sam from Armadillo thought it should work so I pulled the trigger…

Thanks; book-marked that one as definitely something I could consider in the near future.

Inspired by @Chritaka , I also installed my M2M attic shelf today. Took longer than I expected because I also had the JTOPS Bimini Top installed under my MIC top so I had to remove the front and middle roof panels and do a TPT lift on the back section to be able to pull back the rear of the Bimini top to install the M2M plates that mount to the top of the roll bar. Total time from start to finish was 2 hours all by myself (including dealing with the rear part of the MIC top)

Other than dealing with the top by myself, it went pretty smoothly and the Bimini top reinstalled over the M2M plates without a problem. I was a wee bit concerned that there could be a clearance problem with the mesh top as it wraps behind the roll bar, but the M2M folks did a great job with the design and there was plenty of gap between the back of the roll bar and the innermost part of the attic shelf.

I did not do the preventative washers that chritaka did. I took it for a drive through my neighborhood that has a bunch of speed bumps and very bumpy roads due to continuous road construction and the only noise I heard were slight rattles from the pull tabs to lower the attic shelf. Will apply some plastidip to those pull tabs which will stop the rattle (which is pretty minimal).

the shelf was packed great. All the components we well wrapped to avoid any damage during shipping. The QR code instructions were fine and no issues during install.

I finished at night and the lighting was terrible to show the installed tray. Will take photos in the daylight and add them to this post.

Three of the items cluttering up the back of my Bronco are in the photo below. From left to right they are: emergency flares, portable air compressor, and flat tire patch kit. Those are all going up into the shelf. Other items going up are my fire extinguisher (which used to be mounted on the back of the roll bar but can't be there anymore because of the shelf) as well as a recovery strap and the "key" for the security bolts on my tires (which was always a pain to get when taking in my Bronco for oil changes/tire rotation as I kept it in the storage area under the floor mat and I always have my back full of stuff)

All the parts for install were very nicely and securely packaged. Nothing was missing.

Really no different than the hundreds of other photos about this product from M2M. Not cheap, but very well made. Takes advantage of unused space very nicely and doesn’t change outward visibility one single bit (last photo).

just a great way to keep rarely used stuff out of the way, but still easily accessible. And now I don’t have to pull stuff out of the back to access stuff that I had previously kept in the storage bins under the rear floorboard.
