After a recent oil change I noticed a small puddle on my garage floor. Brough it in this morning thinking it was related to the oil change, but was told that I had a bad rear output seal on my transfer case. 2023 Badlands 7MT. Parts on order...

Took a Quick Look during my lunch and saw fluid about to drop off the transfer case. Some left over residue coming from the shaft. Already having the dealership take a look just hope it doesn’t happen again after my warranty is up….

I have this same exact issue now at only 5,000 miles! First appointment my dealer had was a week out. Dropping it off on Friday this week. Can't believe I have a leak like this on such a new vehicle.

Update: Took 2.5 weeks, but the dealer resolved mine under warranty.

2023 Badlands 2 door, 2.7, stock suspension.

I just joined the club, less than 6k and I noticed the classic rotational fluid splatter on the chassis.
I was able to request the dealer order the seal before I brought it in for repair, since they don't stock it.
It took a bit of convincing. They of course wanted me to bring it in to verify the leak.
Hopefully it will be leak free now.

I'm glad I discovered it now, I'm installing Eibach coilovers next week. Dealer might blame the leaking seal on the aftermarket coilovers.

I was amazed at how many new vehicles were on the lot, maybe 50 Broncos, row after row of superdutys

so this is still a thing.. my 24 has leaking output seal. (noticed my leak at 15k)
two weeks and three seals later my dealership is saying ford keeps sending them the wrong part.

dealership is saying it's a ford catalog issue.. it doesn't appear anyone else has had any issues getting theirs changed so I'm beginning to question what is going on

'23 OBX SAS 2dr 6K miles with same issue. Noticed a 4" area on the garage floor had a pink oil film on it. Crawled under and its coming from the rear seal on xfer case. You can see the spray pattern above the xfer case and the drip on the side of the case. Time to make that appointment.

I just joined the club I'm wondering if I should just do the repair myself. Does anyone have the service manual for the seal replacement ?

Are you under warranty?
If so-Just have the dealer perform the repair so that it's documented.

Yeah it's more that the dealers in my area struggle even with an oil change and coated my engine bay in oil along with interior so something that actually requires more detail like this seems like a bad time

2022 OBX. Build Dec 2021. Just found a couple of drops of fluid on garage floor and after a Quick Look appears I have a leak as well. seems to be coming from bottom bolt.? Everything else looks clean.

Id clean with a rag and look again in a bit to see if it's actually just coming from the transfer case output seal like other have posted. It looks to me like it's dripping down the body to that bolt from the seal ?
