I'm looking to get a bit more lighting in the rear seat area of my 4-door Bronco. I know IAG and Mabett have their rear dome lights, which I'm considering.

I also came across these from F150LEDs:

2021 - 2023 F150 CREE Rear Dome LED Light - Direct OEM Replacements – F150LEDs.com

This is somewhat appealing because it's a similar size to stock - not as large as the IAG/Mabbett versions.

Does anyone have experience with these? If so, what do you think?

Thanks.

Looks like just a brighter OEM replacement. Not much to say, the benefits of the aftermarket ones are being able to throw light in different areas. If you don't need that, this should be fine.

Yeah, one of my concerns is whether this F150LEDs dome light would be TOO bright back there and too white. It's always hard to tell about that.

I live in AK, where it's night for basically months so too bright doesn't exist as a problem here, heh.

Your main issue might be getting the old one out. Those metal clips holding it in can be an absolute bastard. I still have the OEM light, but it is tied to Mabett interior and footwell lights.

I purchased a similar one from amazon. It is way too bright in my opinion. I bought it for my rear passenger side cargo light, but it works in both locations. It would blind me if I looked in the side rear window and it was on.

I did end up keeping it though as I installed a shelf in the cargo area, so it helps block the light output since that light is below the shelf.

The problem with that light in the back seat area is it is above the passengers heads and only shines down. I ended up going with the Mabett light that shines forward, down and back. I have been very happy with it. Although because of the location of the light itself it still limits its range when you have passengers in the back seat.

I also ended up getting the side interior lights from Mabett.

Thanks for this information.

Regarding the Mabett light -- does it give significantly better lighting into the back seat area? That's what I'm most concerned with. I find the lighting in the cargo area to be about sufficient. I'm really looking to illuminate the back seat area more.

By itself with no passengers back there it is definitely sufficient. But once the passengers are in it becomes obstructed due to the lights location. That is where the side lights come into play because they are further forward (basically behind the front seats).

I actually wish the IAG/Mabett/chinazon ones were larger. The inside of the Bronco is like a coffin at night. You can never have too much light.

I got the Mabett one (https://a.co/d/8Wh1FUc) and found it really didn't add anything. AIG just came out with theres and I love it... (https://a.co/d/64WUPcv). Have no issues with it, synced right up. Got it on sale for ~40 when it launched last fall. Try it... install it and see. Amazon has 30 day returns...
