Mind telling me which front end camera you have? I’m thinking of adding one

It was a random one off Amazon that bluetooth'ed to my phone, it's not great, but decent. I used the holes my lovely dealer put in the front for a license plate holder (my state doesn't require front license plates) to mount it. Piece of cake, just remember it doesn't like a pressure washer.

I always love these threads, it helps to hear that I'm not the only one that does a ton of research on a product, to finally purchase it...and get no use out of it (or worse, it sits in the box uninstalled!). I've realized the research part is most of the fun, once I buy the thing my interest in it decreases, lol. I think there are multiple categories for this topic as well:

• The "I don't regret buying this, just didn't need to spend as much time or money on it"
  • Kinetic Rope. Never used it (prob. a good thing, as with most recovery/safety gear). I don't regret buying/having safety gear, my regret frankly is that I spent a ton of time researching, and then bought an expensive Yankum rope. I support american-made products, but for how often this rope will get used, I could of paid a lot less for an amazon special.
  • Rear shock mount skids. I did the research, ended up buying these RCI skids, they look beautiful. I got the Bronco jacked up, my tools out, the ipad on the install video, laying underneath the vehicle....to realize I didn't have the right tools, the install is way more work than I anticipated, and now they are back in the box, sigh.
  • after a trip to Sand Hollow with a last-second super janky flag mount method (let's just say there was duct tape involved), I spent way too much time researching and figuring out a unique whip flag mount. Built a cool solution....haven't used it since.
• Don't use it, but hopefully still will be worth it at some point
  • Paracord handles. They were cheap. maybe my wife uses them sometimes?
  • Rotopax cans. I have the trailrax half-rack (which I love), and found a great deal on the pak rax, so bought it. Then bought the (cosmetically blemished) rotopax cans - 2x 2 gallon fuel, and 2x water on black friday deal. I already know it's one of those things that will sit in the garage 99.9% of the time, but the one time I actually need them, it will be worth it. I do want to get into some longer off-road / overland trips, and having extra fuel and water brings peace of mind. The water cans I think are useful for any camping trip, just a convenient way to store water - and I am hoping they also solve a a problem I was facing on my raft - rotopax cans are thin, with lots of tie down points, so could be amazing for rafting.
• The "thought about it, researched it, but glad I didn't buy it" list:
  • d rings that constantly hang on the bumper. I have soft shackles (never used them either).
  • Ditch lights. Just don't think I would use them, but I do like the look.
  • Cargo door storage pockets. My shins are thankful.
  • Interior cargo rack. Jury is still out on this...

Running boards on my currently stock height non-SAS Big Bend, I like to call them the shin bruisers. Didn't choose to have them it came with them. I would say for the average owner, probably lift kit/suspension, all terrain tires, and steel bumpers. Got to flex at the Starbucks parking lot am I right?

I got some of those Oracle accent lights last year for Christmas. I thought they looked pretty cool in the pictures.

Couldn't get them to install correctly between the trim panels -- they just kept falling right out. They did ship me a replacement set to try, but their ultimate answer was to just glue them in place.

So they sat in the garage for a year. I just went out and weaved them in some molle panels for a Christmas look.

Winch but that’s in case shit happens. Rarely use my fog and off road lights with exception of back lights. Adding a windshield top light bar tho! Ha.

Hill Descent Control (not even sure how it works or why I care with a manual trans.)
Back Seat (should just toss it…)

me and @JawnyBronco tried hill descent not long ago (we both have manuals) and it kept our speed fixed depending on when we activated it. It was useful for sure going down hill.

I'll throw in a vote for limb risers (although I do not have them). I've not yet met anyone that truly needed them (but I would like to just to hear their stories).

Well, how about a story to demonstrate? Seriously. I like the look, I just lack the opportunity to put them to use.

I have no winch, no spare parts, no tailgate table (want one), nerve used rescue gear, but have it, no skid plates (want to buy), no rotto paxs, have soft handles, use them at times, (wife very short), tow hitch (use when towing my camping trailer), never used spare tire, ditch lights used maybe twice, have folding shovels (never used), toolkit, tire repair kit, used my hill assist multiple times, it works great.

I did use my high lift jack to help me wedge my washing machine into a very tight spot.
My rear shock skids are still in the box. I need to get off of and lay on my a$$ to install them.
I enjoy my base stereo upgrade every time I drive and the peace of mind that comes with the Ford Performance steering upgrade, at least when off-roading.
