2025 Broncos... 2-door going extinct?

I've had several older Toyota 4Runners that were 2 doors (84-89), several Toyota pickups/Tacomas that were standard cabs, a few Chevy Silverado 2 door regular cab short bed pickups as well. I've never had a need for an extended cab or back seats so a 2 door Bronco was a no brainer. I think a big part of the 2 door trucks disappearing is that the mpg requirements are based on wheelbase and the shorter stuff needs to get a lot better mpg than a 4 door and they can't. So manufacturers don't even want to make them because I think there's a penalty or you need to use carbon credits or something.

Totally get it, I've owned 2 Miata's in my lifetime so maybe that's why I have the mindset I do with my Bronco! I will say you can pack allot of stuff in a Miata if you know how, used to love pulling into Lowes with all the pickem up trucks and dropping the top and putting 8 foot boards and a couple of bags of mulch and driving away!

OMG....I had a 2019 Miata club with the recaro/brembo package in soul red crystal. Dollar for dollar, the most fun vehicle I've ever owned. Those who scoff at them, haven't driven one. But....one day on our way to Cape Cod, we got hit by a massive construction dump truck, thrown into a spin, pinned under its bumper and pushed, sideways, 100 yards down the road. The Miata was mangled but we literally walked away without a scratch. Wasn't our time. I wanted another one but the wife wouldn't ride in it. So..my 2 door manual Heritage is my new Miata .

Base and Badlands will be available as a 2-door. Seems all the others are 4-door only. For now. Ford could change at any time depending on demand.

So, if you want a new 2-door Bronco with a V6, you have to order (HaHa right) a Stroppe Edition. That’s it. At least Ford added two great new colors, Tan and another Gray. With the extensive pallet of great 60’s colors, what were they thinking???????????

No offense intended to 4 door aficionados intended, but IMHO certain cars/trucks were intended for 2 doors...and adding extra ones often results in something like this:

This is exactly what I’ve been thinking of for the Bronco. Having owned a 2 door and a 4 door, my preference has always been with the 2 door, but I’ve often thought if the 2 door used the wheelbase of the 4 door, and just stretched the doors another 2-3 inches (for access to the rear seats), it would be the perfect rig. I love the look of the 2 door currently over the 4 door (which has grown on me), but the 2 door is too short in the rear. A kit like what this company is doing with Jeeps would be ideal. The hardtop would be the biggest challenge/cost driver I would think.

If they built a two door with the same length I would have bought in over the two door I bought.

Wait - maybe you're mis-remembering. I think it is SUNROOFS which are the desirable option for wh*res. Legroom.

I bought a 2 door Heritage on Dec 26th. If I couldn't get a 2 door I wouldn't have a Bronco.
