It's all more of a cheapish plastic carbonized gray that also stains/fades pretty quick. Same color as the mic top

My Badlands has 56k miles, and none of the door handles, fenders, or mirror caps are stained or faded.

I was/am under the impression it's to create the Wildtrak look, including the grill (Which is a horrible miss in the Badlands), the beauty rim , and bucking Bronco on the back, as well as the roof and other parts.

If I was buying a 25, this would be a must for me. That and the Fox shocks were the reason I got the Wildtrak over the Badlands, easier to deal with the stay bar after the fact, than all the ugly cosmetics of the Badlands, including that horrible orange trim on the seats and replace the shocks.

"Those consist of a Shadow Black-painted hard top, along with black molded-in color mirror caps, fender flares, door handles, front grille (with white Bronco lettering), and a black graphics package. Additionally, 2025 Ford Bronco models that are equipped with the Sasquatch Package and the Black Appearance Package also get gloss black-painted aluminum wheels with black beadlock rings.

For those that prefer more of a non-glossy finish, the recently-revealed Bronco Dark Trail concept package features a variety of matte black items,..."

Sounds like they are shiny black. Another article describing the Brapter BAP, mentions it having painted mirror caps.

I do enjoy the grey grill on the badlands, Especially considering I have all black paint including the beauty rings. I also prefer the orange to the wildtracks blue. The real miss is ford having those interior colors locked into specific trims rather than being customer choice.

Red clay fades plastic?

Mud sure does stain it, all the plastic on my Bronco is stained. Looks like shit if I was going for the clear look. Lucky I use it in the dirt/mud a lot and I’m ok with it.

I wheeled in the Gooorja red and mine spent 21 months in the SW Florida sun and wheeled through the sandy Everglades swamps and they aren’t faded or stained. I also washed and sealed with turtle wax ceramic.

That being said, they were never a true black to begin with, like 5 different shades of grey, which has always bothered me. Especially the MIC hardtop. But there’s a good stain you can buy that works really well on them, especially under a coat of ceramic.
