I took my hard top cap off for the first time and really don't like the fact that the roll bar area is the same paint color as the rest of the vehicle. A contrasting color (black) would make it look more finished in my opinion.
I also wanted some protection for scratching the paint when taking the cap off in the future.
I looked at several options from Sticker Fab that included
Plastic clam shell pieces
Leather/Vinyl simulated material (similar to a leather bra on the front bumper of a sports car)
Various PPF solutions both clear and design (carbon fiber, etc.)
Any thoughts or suggestions on what works best or others have tried?
I am also assuming that any of these solutions can be permanent (left on) when putting the cap back on.

I have these on my Wildtrak. They look great and are well made. I few tips if you buy them (1) add more double sided tape (2) heat it with a heat gun before installing (3) make sure all the bolt holes line up, I had to trim with razor blade

Those look great. I hadn't really thought about installing anything there was I didn't want to mess with the mounting/seal of the back cap unit.
I was thinking more of the roll bar itself, but it would be great to have that whole area finished off as well.
As long as it doesn't effect the mounting I will add that to my List!!!!

I have a hard top. No issues with the rear section of the roof.
