Stress cracks in two door top below window??

I just bought a 2024 Big Bend two door (100miles) and removed the top to get it painted Oxford white like a Heritage. When I went to pick it up before I put it back on the vehicle the body person pointed out a few stress cracks in the fiberglass below the windows on both sides. About a 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Anyone else have these?? The body man suspected there are others and they would be harder to see with the dark top. Thanks!

Search. LOTS of threads. Those cracks are covered by the 3-yr, 36-k mile warranty but you may be out of luck as your top has been painted.

Sorry that you are experiencing the issue. The body shop never should have proceeded with the paint job. They should have brought the issue to yours and the service advisor's attention. With the paint already on it, I doubt a warranty claim will be honored.

I'm sure you're right. Maybe if the paint is cleaned off the cracks, the plastic is roughed up and epoxied, then filler/sanding, then repainted it might be salvageable?

At this point, a corrective action on the existing top is likely the only option. But it is like throwing money away. If that top was cracking that bad after only 100 miles, there are more deficiencies that will arise in time.

the painter should have seen these before or during the process i painted my top and these tops are trash i have said this from the beginning

Makes me sick to my stomach. So sorry for you and all of us who worry about or have actually had to replace these shitty tops.*
