Hiked Dead horse state park outside of Moab and then drove around Canyonlands NP after.

Got a couple miles down Shafer Basin Road before my wife's anxiety kicked in and we had to turn around.

Also crossed over 2,000 miles so far for this road trip today.

Hitting up Arches NP tomorrow and then the Off-Roadeo on Friday.

I wanted to locate the trailer brake controller in the recommended location for convenience, easy visibility, and for the plastic bezel to lock the switch in place and to keep it from possibly rotating.
I did not like that location however for how potentially vulnerable it would be so I put some black anodized aluminum U-shaped toggle switch guards around it for protection and am fairly pleased with how it came out.

Swapped out my old beauty rings for the new SFR ones. Now I'm annoyed because the shackles are slightly different shades of orange!

Paid $125 for a Pedal Commander, talk about a deal. I must say, its definitely more fun to drive now although it was fun to drive before haha. I had one on a Ram 1500 a few years back and enjoyed it as well so I figured why not try it on the Bronco especially for the great price.

New owner and first mod…. many more to come I’m afraid.
Added a low profile bull bar today:

After I ordered it, I saw where someone posted photos of the Westin brush guard…. I will be replacing this new one shortly with a Westin brush guard!

Was that a special sale? Currently listed for $300 on their website, with $20 off offer.

Finally took the plunge and removed the doors. Ordered weather seal rubber to go on the edging to prevent chipping the paint. Also purchased the Ford OEM door bags which are very high quality and fit well. The 2-door model doors are longer and a bit awkward to handle, but with two people it was a breeze to take of.
I was a bit surprised at how much colder the ride was with the doors off vs just the top.
It was 70-74 degrees F and still had to wear a light coat.
All in all it was a good experience, but it didn't wow me like I thought it would.
Maybe when it's 80 degrees F plus and I can tool around town the vibe might be different, but for any type of significant road trip it is not ideal.
Had to get over the feeling of being a bit exposed, especially after having just been in an accident with my Mustang.

A guy living close to me was selling his on the marketplace. He just put the PC in his F150 but ended up selling the truck. I was looking for one and luckily ran across that one.

How difficult was trail to Tower Arch? Leaving to Moab in about a week and that is one of the trails I want to go on.

Hello Lorne,
Great to see you over here on Bronco6g. We have chatted on Mustang6g and are following the same path... 2019 Shelby, then the addition of a 2024 Bronco.
I was also recently thinking I need to pull the doors off this fall while the weather is great.
I was going to ask how the Shelby repairs are going, but I'll just follow it over at Mustang6g so we can keep this Bronco related.

It wasn't too bad. I did most of it in 4H with the rear locker on and used C or 1st for the rocky parts and just kept up momentum in the sandy parts. Didn't even drag a skid.
