Picking up our OBX tomorrow I ordered and on the sticker it said:
1. AM/FM, 6 SPKRS, SDARS what does that mean?
2. How can I get HD radio?
Thanks

That's what I have. FYI, the grill with the grill ring from Audiofrog will not fit as is on the SSV pods.

I removed the grill from the rings and added small dots of epoxy to secure them in place. Looks fine and is not noticeable ... if you want to use the grills.
@vicorjh Do you have a picture of what this looks like?

I did end-up placing a small bead of black colored plastic compatible epoxy around the entire circumference of the grill as opposed to a couple of spots. Prepped and lightly scuffed up the plastic a bit for adhesion. With small dots, there was some resonance experienced at volume in certain frequency bands.

Also, in my case, I added some epoxy to the interior walls to stiffen up the enclosure along with a thin layer of closed cell foam. The plastic is thin particularly on the back side. I feel that helped to damp the enclosure quite a bit.

Alright, for those still tuned in, the time has come!

I ordered all my stuff last week, I’ve received everything except my PnP kit, which gets here Tuesday, so planning on knocking it all out next weekend!

Ok I need some help. Sending a bat signal to @RagnarKon

so I’ve gotten my 6 speakers in, and I’m now looking at the ACM amp. The kit I got from PnP came with 17’ of wire and I have no clue what to do with all that lol.

any suggestions?

What kit did you buy again?

It's been 3 months and admittedly I forget exactly what you had decided on. If I'm remembering right you were back and forth between the AudioControl amp and the Kicker Key amp.

Ah okay so you got the gigantic harness that's (usually) blue.

He gave you enough length on that harness to mount the amplifier in the back of the Bronco if you want, but you obviously don't have to. If you want you can shorten it and add on your own ferrules onto the ends to replace the length of wire you cut off.

It’s just wire. Not rocket science

So I ended up installing the amp in the rear, just finished wiring everything back there, and now I have no audio at all. I tried power cycling, still no luck.

obviously I’d like to fix this without having to undo all the work I just did. Anybody have experience with this?

here’s a really dumb question from a guy doing his first audio upgrade:

does the amp pull power via the PnP harness, or do I need to wire power to the amp?

other thing I’m noticing after my install, the parking sensors sound different, not sure if that clue helps anybody

my google searches are coming up empty, but like I said, I have no clue what I’m doing

Generally any amp worth using will need it's own power wire run from the battery. Fortunately it's easy to do on the bronco.

So that was my next question, from what I’ve read, it sounds like I can run power to the aux switch location in the rear. Is it a simple plug in?
