The door panel on my heritage limited has some spots of discoloration on the brown leather? and I’m not really sure what’s going on. Could be sun damage I guess? Doesn’t look like a cleaning product since it’s spotty and only on one side, and haven’t spilled anything on it. Anyone else experience this issue? Noticed it around 5,000 miles.

Anyone know the part and if this can be replaced easily?

I have no idea what caused it, but that piece cannot be replaced separately. You’d need a whole new door panel.

Based on the locations that it's on, it looks like it might be sun screen or lotion from one of your passengers? Just kind of aligns with elbow locations/touch points (like someone pulled on the handle and used their arm to nudge the door open)

Very possible, odd that it’s not on the driver side though, we use a lot of sunscreen here in SoCal.
To be safe, I’ll place the blame entirely on my wife.

I once bought a BMW that was owned by a female. It had a similar look to that on all the touch surfaces that was caused by makeup transfer. It’s was literally on everything. After many unsuccessful attempts to remove it, another BMW enthusiast with first hand knowledge of the very same problem suggested a light rubbing with a damp Magic Eraser. Worked fantastically on removing makeup stains.

I’ll try this tomorrow. Thanks!

Keep in mind that magic erasers work because they're slightly abrasive, so I'd try some less abrasive options first. I'd be surprised if a microfiber with some water or diluted IPA doesn't clean it up.

The wife leaves marks like this in just about every vehicle she's in. I blame it on make-up. She touches her face then some surface on the vehicle - usually a door or visor and leaves a finger mark there. It can be very tough to remove as most cleaners just kind of smudge it around.

That’s nuts.-the whole door panel! So typical of the way things are built today.

You think that's nuts... the retail price of the door panel is $1,285 😂
