Just received this notice for the Power-Up 6.3.0 but I have not updated as of yet. Has anyone else received this update notice? Successful on the update? Are there any known issues with this update? I've been unable to find any Bronco information about this update hence I'm hesitant to move forward with it.

I haven't gotten an update past 4.2 even though everything was set right to receive it but I figure it's just better off keeping it where it is since it works great for me. I've disabled it all.

There are a lot of technophobes on this forum....

6.3.0 seems to be a TCU update, which is the module that handles connectivity to other devices, like your phone. I can't find a release note for this update, so can't get more specific than that. It looks like this particular update has been out for some other vehicles for a long while.... as much as a year.

The people wondering why they have software problems with things like Car Play or Android Auto are probably the same people who won't install this update:rolleyes:

I've unplugged my TCM all together and have no issues with connecting my phone to Sync at all. Bluetooth and android auto work fine.

That's a funny comment, because my Android Auto connected every time, never had an issue.... UNTIL a software update some time last July or August. Since then, I reset my radio daily due to connection issues. But hey, I like your enthusiasm. 🤷‍♂️

was that an update to the phone or the synch system or maybe both?
I have been lucky as I don't have connection issues, and have updates on both side of the equation.

More specifically, the TCU is the car's 4G modem for updates, wifi, live traffic, and FordPass.
Your APIM (Sync module) has the Bluetooth circuitry.

I believe the TCU is used for the wifi network utilized by Wireless AC/AA, but wired AC/AA is handled entirely by Sync

Update to Sync, hasn't been right since. Have a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

When having issues I experience the following: Music stutters (played through Android Auto from what's stored on my phone), screen touches become unresponsive.
Rebooting phone doesn't fix issue.
Rebooting radio and everything is in normal working condition.

So for that reason, I link the problem to SYNC, not the phone. Same phone also connects to 2 other radios (Pioneer & Boss Audio w/Motorola Wireless adaptor) without issue. Points me back to SYNC being the issue.

Since Ford doesn’t clearly say how it improves things for me. I can only assume it is for the benefit of Ford. You know, selling info. Tracking kind of stuff.

I have the exact same phone - the only occasional issue I have is when playing music thru Pandora. Sometimes the song pauses, but I think that is coming from my phone. I have no proof its the phone, just a gut feeling. Having said that there sure are plenty of owners who have synch issues
