Charging System service soon Alert

Last week I was driving my Bronco and I had the entire dashboard dimming, brightening . Then the animation on the center screen froze. Air bag light was on but then went away. It sat for the last 5 days and I get in it this morning, I now have charging system service alert. Has anyone else experienced this?

Seems I have read a few other stories similar to this that were alternator warranty issues.
With the engine running what does your voltage meter show? Normal charging systems run 12.5-14 volts. If its not in this range all the time have a dealer check it out.
If you have good voltage maybe you just have a low battery from a small drain like a accessory left on or a bad battery, those do occur.
