I figured it was too many miles with out rotating
Mileage won’t cause cupping on a healthy setup.. If you’re truly getting cupping I’d look at suspension. Could start with an alignment at an actual mechanic (not jiffy lube) and go from there. Some place that does tires too so they can balance them

alignment was checked around 10K by Ford dealer.
balance seems good , nothing weird, worth a look.

If you had an alignment done at a Ford dealer I’d DEFINITELY go somewhere else to verify lol in January of 2023 I tried getting an alignment done at Parks Ford in Hendersonville NC after installing a lift and the post-alignment report showed all they adjusted was toe. When we pressed them to ask why the camber was still way off they repeated over and over (and I quote) “These don’t have adjustable camber”.. it was frightening. Never again..

Like I said cupping is an issue not caused simply by high mileage without a rotation.. its indicative of a significant suspension problem.. Worn out shocks, etc. What sort of suspension setup are you running? What tires? How many total miles?

My 2022 outer banks is now close to 14,000 km (8700 miles) and I still haven't done a tire rotation. I thought the dealership would notify me about the tire rotation as I have a 3 year service package, but now I am a bit skeptical.

As the title says, when should I do a tire rotation? I am thinking by now I will have to. And if I do one now, how often in the future do I need to do it?

For some extra info, I have done some off-roading with it, and in my country the roads are fairly rough that most people opt for SUVs as sedan/sport cars can get damaged easily.
Dealer did mine with my first oil change at 2k miles. They purposely did not include the fifth tire.

12k on my ‘23 BB Sas, no rotation yet. The Goodyears are showing minimal wear and evenly. Better, I have no vibrations or shaking, balance was spot on from the factory and I’m not tempting fate on that changing. If the wear starts to look uneven I’ll rotate the 4 but if not, I’m having more fun driving it than working on it.

I just bought my '22 and it has 15K miles and i have no idea if the spare has ever been off the vehicle. Is 15k miles to much to do the 5 tire rotation if it hasn't been swapped before?

Somewhat related...what's the opinion on spare tire covers? Useful? Or detrimental?

Just have to measure the wear on the other 4 and see if it’s within spec of the 5th one. Mileage and wear aren’t always directly related. Any more than 2 or 3/32’s difference and I probably wouldn’t do it

Never have or will rotate tires. It’s a waste of time and money because it won’t extend tire life despite what some might think.

So if I rotate the spare in every 5,000 miles you're saying it will have zero affect on overall tire life?

I wouldn’t waste my time rotating ANY tire, spare or not. You won’t get any longer life out of them.

Sorry I have to disagree.
Also it's my time to waste how I like.
And doing it while waiting for all of the oil to drain out I'm really not wasting much time if any.

I just did my first oil change and first 5 tire rotation at 6500mi on my sas equipped rig.

I checked the tread depth and the spare had about a 1/4” more tread than the other 4 tires. I was shocked at how much rubber I’ve chewed through in 6k miles. I guess I better start saving for a new set of tires now….and also shopping for a better tire than these stock tires.

I drive mostly highway miles. Maybe 800 miles on gravel/ forest service roads.
