2dr Power Seat conversion?

Now that we have both a 2dr (wife) and a More Door (Me). Has anyone converted their 2dr to power seats? I figure if I rip those back seats out and put in a flat floor then we really don't need the ability to slide and tip the seats anymore.

Problem is finding a set of electric seats that would match the HLE seats, but I could just pick up any pair of Bronco Power seats out of a junkyard wreck hopefully and then put a set of covers on them that are the right color.

IIRC there's no 2 door Bronco's that have power seats due to the tilt function to get to the back. You might be able to mod a 4 door seat but not sure what all they do or if they have the ability to access the back.

I realize the tilt and slide is why they are manual. You need to move it mostly so a person has access to get into the backseat.

However, as I said in my post if I rip out the backseats and put in a flat floor then we really don't need the ability to slide and tip the seats anymore. I can access everything I need to back there from the tailgate. If there's no rear seat for a person to sit there then you don't really need the tilt and slide function.

I'm more curious to see if anyone has done it yet. Save me from figuring out where to pull power for the seats etc. I can trace the electrical out in my Raptor if I need to but was hoping someone might have already done it.

Would still be of benefit to have some sort of access from the front, would be a pain with a rear-seat delete to have to crawl in the back to reach anything that was placed or rolled up to the front. I'm not really a power seat person for me to worry about it, my Bronco is mine so no need to change the position so good luck with yours.

No Harm. Was just restating and bolding it since I thought my intent to rip them out was missed in the first post. Luckily I'm tall enough I can reach all the way up there from the back pretty easily and when the back section has that much stuff in it my wife is using me for carrying capacity anyway...

Actually the ideal would be to see if I can just get the lower power seat section to slide and raise it and combine that with the tilt function of the back section.... Then you could easily reach something small from the front and have the power connivence for the up and down (she hates pumping it back up) and front to back adjustment. There is over a foot of height different between my wife and I.

Looks like I have some tinkering to do....

You might want to look into aftermarket "universal" power seat bases. There are a number on the market running from $250 each and up. Your recline would still be manual. Would be easy to run power direct to battery with an inline fuse. Not sure how well they would fit the Bronco seats and mounting points, though they are supposed to be adjustable.

Since the seat move function is usually always on, you could just run a circuit up through the firewall to the engine bay. I'd be surprised if the 2DR harness had anything usable other than a tap for a relay trigger.

Like you said, best case is the upper manual seat frame would bolt to the power lower. It's going to be tight under there no matter what, even the manual seats have a ton of stuff jammed under there. Barely room for my spill kit on the passenger side and a soft shackle and winch remote/cable on the driver.

Punted on the project. Wife decided that she was fine with the manual seats. Makes getting someone in and out of the back easier. Although that rarely ever is the case since if we have passengers we take mine instead.
