Toquerville Falls near Hurricane, Utah is a popular destination for it's beautiful scenery and easy access by just about any stock pickup or SUV, via the easy dirt road down into the canyon. But there's a less-traveled way to get there, straight up the creek through Rattlesnake Gulch, that offers a more challenging 4X4 adventure with dozens of creek crossings, boulder crawls, ledges and of course outstanding natural beauty. We hit the trail with several of our friends from So Cal Broncos including three well-built Early Broncos and our '21 2-Door Base Bronco, Chanel. Grab a cold one and check out the video!

I live in the wrong state.
Me too! Actually we do have some good wheeling here behind the Iron Curtain but it's the jackboot on my throat that gets me down. Luckily the Free State of Utah is only a drive away :)

Well, the free state of Texas has a lot of great wheeling that's on private land and inaccessible. I think Texas is 48th in public land allocation as a percent? So unless people like Kurt at Wolf Caves or the van Reenan's at Merus decide to allow it, a lot of people not in the know end up going elsewhere. It's a double edged sword.

Been there but with my previous JL. Would love to go back with my Bronco. Super fun trail and the falls are really a cool, serene spot.

Nice! Isn't this the trail that Matt from Matt's Offroad Recovery basically said do not attempt if you have IFS?

It's funny, Texas with private land has the same result as New York State where the public sector owns 37% of the land, but you can't off-road on it. The state took ownership of all Forest Service Roads, and the federal government only owns 0.8%, there are no national parks.

The public land is reserved for hiking, camping, horse riding, skiing, fishing, and only where permitted - ATV/ snowmobiling.

There are a few seasonal roads, a couple of off-road for $ places, but that's it.

As a result there are a lot of illegal ATV/dirtbike riders throughout.

I think that's what Dusty was referring to, only in California. It being mostly public or private doesn't make it accessible for off roading, is my point. It just happens a lot of the West is controlled by government, because frankly a lot of it is uninhabitable and unimprovable for humans.

Thank you for sharing such a great trail. I get down to that neck of the woods once a year, and I have definitely added this trail on to my bucket list. I very much look forward to experiencing it. Yahoo!

Please tell everyone you know... Idaho is entirely flat and the entire state has been paved over.

Thank you for your consideration......
