I’m not sure how I should take that comment… 🤣
You should take it with poutine of course!

Now you should get that horse trailer you created a thread about and get you a real life bucking bronco 😁

Kidding aside, bummed to see you move on from the Bronco I certainly get it. When I got my Bronco I kept my Mustang because I loved it. Well after a few months of the Bronco it was pretty clear that it didn't make sense to keep it as I lost all interest in driving it so I got rid of it. Hopefully we still see you around!

So today I traded in my beloved Bronco. I did truly love that vehicle, however it was time for a change - I need a vehicle that can tow/haul a lot more, but still wanted to have fun off-road. Alas, after lots of research I landed on a 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro.
Congrats, a great and bold choice. Until Toyota figures out a solution to the recall for the potential "loss of motive power", I would go out of your way for the first few oil changes, in case there are lingering bits of machining debris in the oil journals. With the recall going on for Tundra engines, it may be safest to change the oil at 500 miles, 1,000 miles, 2,000 miles and then every 3,000 miles after that.

My son-in-law, a Toyota mechanic, has had to tear several down for warranty replacement. Some only needed new short blocks, short sighted in my opinion. If the engine has metal shavings in the oil journals, they go throughout the engine. He had to replace one completely as the metal shavings blocked the head valvetrain oil journals and cracked a rocker arm.

@Administrator - Can we start a Tundra3G forum please?😁 Or I can go on the Tacoma forum and brand my truck as a Tacoma Raptor or something…
Maybe Doug should start a “Goodbyes & Extradition Center”
forum category under “Offtopic” for all the departing and banned members.

Sad to see so many old timers and longhaulers leave. Happy trails ya ‘lil rodent, eh!

I actually am a really big fan of the new Tundra Pro, and even considered it when it was time for me to trade my lowered Maverick mini truck to go back to a full size truck. But ultimately I settled on a new 2024 GMC Sierra AT4. I don't off-road but I love the AT4 pkg so that's why I chose it. Plus the new Thunderstorm Gray color...

I guess they only come with the Texan flag here on the back window. San Antonio's pride and joy! They are beautiful looking.

*Pauses to hear the “ThIs IsN’t An AiRpOrT - yOu DoN’t NeEd To AnNoUnCe YoUr DePaRtUrE” comments*

Ok, I know there will be other smartass comments too, but that’s fine - I’ve earned those over the years on B6G 🤣

Amazing truck that has a lot of great features and options I’ll use, plus the styling of the Tundra is amazing. And in true @604Tundra Bronco fashion, I ensured it was still a moar door.

I love B6G and most of the people here, so I’ll still be around contributing where I can. We still share the passion for hitting the Starbucks drive-thru trails, so I’m looking forward to continuing to keep those connections here 🙂

Now excuse me while I buckle in for the trolling…

Needs to be a ban on these goodbye threads or shove them Into an off topic oblivion forum
Sorry, but for those of us that have been on the forum for more than a month or two appreciate the announcement. Maybe in a few years, you’ll understand. I’d rather know what happened to a member than not. Plus, the forum has a feature where you can ignore a post and move on.

Hey congrats - I completely get it, I think the Bronco is amazing, but it's not a pickup if that's what you need.

Enjoy the ride

I get wanting more tow capacity, and I also think that's an area where Ford dropped the ball with the Bronco.

For what it's worth, I am still active on a motorcycle forum for a bike I traded in 7 years ago :)

You folks make it sound like I’m disappearing from here. I’ll still be around, just with a different vehicle :)
