Thinking of replacing my cracked windshield with a non OEM windshield because I want to try something different that could be less brittle than the stock. Does anyone have any photos of their non OEM windshield. Just curious if it changed the look and if you miss the Bronco logo on windshield.

Considering non factory as well because how cheap I can find them in my local area.

What aftermarket windshield do you feel would be stronger glass? I didn’t think there was such a thing, but if there is, that sounds interesting.

Not sure I care about the Bronco sticker, but do about the MAP sticker thatI I’d likely lose with any replacement, but if there is stronger glass, I’d be interested.

You got a good point. I’m saving my map sticker when the new windshield goes on. I plan on sticking it in the same spot.

Had the windshield replaced on our Wildtrak. The glass shop saved the MAP sticker and put it the new windshield.
The funny thing, MAP put it on crooked and the glass shop put it on correctly.

Most aftermarket glass is China made i think, all i see is fitment issues personally I rather just get OEM.
Makes no sense to make a windshield in China; this has long sense gotten out of hand.

I sure hope the OEM glass is made at a shop in Michigan or at least someplace in the country.

IF the OEM costs $400 more or whatever, I’d pay it.

Consider getting Exo-Shield to help reduce cracks

I have aftermarket glass on my badlands.. first one was replaced by the dealer the day before i bought it.. rolled up to the lot and still had the blue painters tape on.

Only major difference noting non-oem glass is you dont have all the markings, such as the BRONCO lettering and "ACCESSORY READY' below the mounting points at the top. fitment is as good, if not better than the oem glass in my wife's big bend.

Just noticed small crack in my aftermarket (Safelite) windshield yesterday. Replaced earlier this year.

I got the safelite non-oem last time on our Jeep. Very disappointed with how it looks. Seems like the tint is less and missing the rest of the stuff that comes with the OEM. Not sure if that helps for the Bronco question. We also just got a crack a week or so ago in our Bronco. Typically we wait until there are more than one crack or the crack has spread too much.

I gently peeled off the MAP sticker prior to my cracked windshield being replaced, gently stuck the sticker edge to my workbench and put it back on the replacement windshield. My original and 1st replacement windshield were Carlite, and the 3rd windshield is a Fuyao brand (a common OEM brand now used). It’s taken a couple of hits and seems stronger than the Carlite brand (knock on wood).

Get it fixed before that spreads.. Most insruance plans will pay for dings and cracks smaller than a quarter with zero out of pocket cost

Might be too close to the edge for them to touch it though.

Yeah I have to call them this morning. They'll replace more than likely
