Front camera stays on in the off-road drive modes which is really the only time I use it at higher speeds so I haven’t felt a need.
Well it stays on in Baja mode but turns off automatically in other modes when I exceed 3-4 mph (I don't have Baja mode)..... I would like to set it at 20 mph if possible .... even 10 mph would be nice

Forscan can add Baja mode to any model.

I don’t know if anyone has figured out the camera speed setting in Forscan yet though

Which wire is the one that you need to cut going to the module?
Completely missed your post, sorry.
On the driver side, you'll see a solid brown wire (if you look close, you'll see it's marked pin #8), that's your power wire to the spot light. On the passenger side, there will be a purple wire with a brown stripe, again on pin #8, that powers the passenger spot light. You'll want to splice your own separate power wire into these running to an aux switch or whatever, and then on the other side you'll want to cut it so the power isn't going to the module. Verify you're not cutting the wire on the wrong side and powering the module instead of the lights by following them to the mirror.

Figured I’d mention this…

I was able to tap into the OEM wires without cutting anything and without any diodes with no issues. Maintained OEM function of lights and have them working on an AUX switch so they don’t turn off after 5 mph

However thinking about redoing it and adding in the puddle lights with diodes so I get both of the mirror lights to come on with the same AUX switch while maintaining the OEM function of everything
Ha, you're brave...hopefully it won't cause any issues in the future. I've had mine bypassed for quite a while, they operate with the rock lights and honestly it's a lot easier to find the aux switch than the buttons by the headlight switch so I haven't felt the need to use them since. I'd suggest leaving the puddle lights as they are and adding some rock lights instead if you're looking for more ground illumination, I can't even tell when my puddle lights turn on when my rock lights are going.

how about the front facing camera? that's also speed limited. Any work arounds on that?
No forscan workaround for that so far, doubtful there ever will be. There's not a lot of interest in it and it might not even be possible. Just buy a passthrough module instead, most of them will give you more functionality than just keeping the camera on when you want it. Takes a bit to install them but anyone can do it with minimal tools.

This one gives you the option of an aux video input, so you can actually mirror your phone and whatnot. You'll be able to select different cameras with trigger switches and have it display the left or right camera on when your blinker is turned on.

This one lets you use the camera button at any speed and select which one you want, also eliminates all of the speed limited functionality on the screen (like entering an address on the nav when moving)

Used these wire taps to tap into the wires that Tex had mentioned (brown on drivers side and purple/brown on passenger). These taps are supposed to be a bit more durable and water resistant than others, and didn’t want to solder as that tends to be fragile. Then used 20 gauge wire to run them to the aux switch. They are only drawing like .3 amps so it doesn’t have to be very large wire. For the passenger side wire, I ran it behind the main body harness that runs across the back of the engine bay to hide it as much as possible and ran it to the drivers side by the aux switches. Used a heat shrink butt connector, put the new 20 gauge wires from each mirror into one end, and the aux switch on the other, and viola they work just as you would hope. Hooked up to my aux switch #3 but you can decide which one you want. Other than the taps and the connections by the aux switch, you’d never know anything was messed with and is easily reversible. I haven’t had them on for long, just tested to ensure it works, but I wouldn’t imagine that it would do any real harm, but time will tell. Figured it was under warranty and easy to revert to stock if something went haywire lol.

I’m hesitant to do rock lights as I’ve heard they fill up with mud and dust over time and end up being useless. Plus I hate the stupid ass trucks that drive around my town with their RGB “rock” lights on so maybe I’m biased LOL

I've had zero problems with mine for the past year now, and I used cheap pods from Harbor Freight of all places. The white light looks way better than colored, and if you find the right spots where they'll be effective, you won't be illuminating your undercarriage, only the ground where the light actually needs to be. Half the guys running RGB lights look like they're trying to sell you CBD oils and vape products under their vehicles, the other half looks like you might see a sweet graphics card and a fat stack of DDR5 RAM sticks in the wheel wells.

You can tap into the wire going to the lights and power it with a different circuit, then cut the OEM wire so you're not back feeding voltage into the module.
Just add a diode to not backfeed the factory wiring. Then you still have both circuits that can control them.

I'm going to check out this mod soon. Thanks for troubleshooting and finding the wires.

Acutally I didn't. I really don't see the need. But if you want to just to be safe, any ol diode will do. I usually take one off old component boards. I have a few old things that i keep just to rob small parts off of. A diode is a one way valve. These lights don't take a lot of juice, so any size you find will work.

I mentioned that in an earlier post. I was going to wire up some diodes but the factory buttons aren't as convenient as hitting an aux switch so I didn't even bother. Even before I rewired them, I found myself using a flashlight instead of the side lights because they're not the easiest thing to find by feeling around for them, and then they'll still shut off if you start going anywhere, so those buttons and that whole circuit can go kick rocks for all I care (n)

The aux switches are so much easier. I put each light on a different switch.

I’m very interested in this and will probably do it soon, I’m also interested if anybody can figure out how to enable the camera at higher speeds. I use the camera a lot when parking, and I often try to turn it on before I’ve slowed down enough and it’s really annoying to get the pop-up message and have to hit the button again

I have a Can Opener on order... (Thank you @Tex) It removes the speed limitations on the cameras and the infotainment and all of the phone access.... I will check once I get it in... I doubt it will work though because it seems to be removing the speed limits on anything running through the center display... Which these lights do not.
