The gray top - What does MIC stand for?

Lots of people are complaining about the default gray pop top on the new Bronco. What does MIC stand for? I’ve already tried to search it up with no luck.

Molded in Color.
So not painted. The color is through out the material.


With molded-in color technology, precolored plastic resins are used in the plastic injection molding process so the molded part emerges in the specified color and finish.

Every time I think I have these tops down, I realized I don't. Besides the Color... doesn't the MIC still contain the basic Removable sections? (Driver, Passenger, Rear Seats 4-door, and Rear Section)?

so, is this stuff basically automotive grade CORIAN??

i know for sure CORIAN can be done in white without issue.

MIC = Maybe In Century. Because Ford will offer the Bronco for sale sometime this century.

Basically a good thing about molded in color is that it can be scratched all to hell and still not changed color or rust. The more I think about it the more I think it's wise in the long run though ideally I'd prefer body colored metal or similar flat shiny material.

I tried that before and couldn't find anything either and had to ask for what it's worth.

The Modular hard top is painted black except in the OBX trim where it is painted in the body color. The rear side windows are removable and in the 2-dr you get a gun turret.
