that's really impressive on how well the stock hoss 3.0 suspension, 37" s and portals worked on that trail

that bronco is super wide. 0 mm offset?

might be too wide for several trails i've been on

I have probably spent way too much time going down that rabbit hole....

My take though is that Icon Set up is really really nice. Much more automated. Also probably way better for on road performance - while offering great off road performance. It will be a little firmer in the mid travel considering it is digressive, but it is that firmness that will be immensely beneficial on road.
It is the exact opposite of the Sas Bilsteins. Those would crash over little imperfections and then wallow in corners and nose dive under hard braking.
The Icons are smoother with less lean and nose dive.

I spent some time tweaking the Normal setting and Creating a Sport setting. Now I need to tune the Off Road setting.

I figured I could keep all the suspension links from the Icon kit and could change the coil overs to SDi's, once they release them, if I want them...

It took a bit to get there. For the first month or so I wasn’t happy. I was getting tossed around a lot inside. I would jack up the firmness and the boost settings, but still wasn’t comfortable.
Then it hit me that the rear has a lot of travel and my 21 doesn’t have a rear sway bar. The stock normal setting is 2 (out of ten) for both front and rear. I increased rear to 3, then eventually 4, and was no longer thrown about.
The rear springs seem light, the first few coils on top look like they are touching. I asked the shop to set the front neutral/no pre load and set the rear height off that with factory rake. I’m afraid what 37’s and Turn Off-road tire carrier will do when I add them.
Lately the ride feels like it smoothed out a bit. I guess they are breaking in.

My first immediate reaction after they were first installed was how it felt like the tires were magnetically drawn to the road surface.

I’ve never had a similar product before so I don’t know how they should feel or how they would compare to competitors.
I would have considered Fox and King but I don’t have a place to do my own work and the SDi universal reservoir was too custom of a setup for my preferred shop. I’d love to get back into a stock Sasquatch to feel the difference. Also a Hoss3 Fox, Fox 2.5, and King.

Sounds like you are figuring out the settings just like any of the rest of us would.... Nice job. when I get mine where I want I am going to have to meet up with the local bronco club and do some ride swapping... You take me for a ride and then I take you for a ride.... I bet I get a bunch of takers.... Most Everybody wants to know if I make this change how will it effect my ride..... Just little 10 or 15 minute routes... Might be a great meeting opportunity.... This is giving me ideas.... I am going to suggest this to the local club... There are some guys with some really nice set ups and I would really like to know how theirs ride.

RE: MORR video

One of the interesting bits I heard on the video is that they installed them over three days and cut/ground off an endpiece, yet talked about how easy they were to install. 🤔 I assume that means you can't just remove them and go back without replacing that part.

What did they cut/ground off and why? 🤔

To be honest with you I did not realize that was going to be required but it does make sense....

Those were the axle spline end that connects (and turns) the wheel. It is the threads for the nut that you have have to remove when you remove the wheel hub. You no longer need that nut on the end.

The axle splines will now extend into a gear in the portal rather than having the hub bolt to it. I am guessing that to keep the portal as narrow as possible that (now excess) length just needs to be shortened or it would actually have interference with the portal housing.

Have you gotten your shipment details yet?

Not yet... But I am confident it is coming. I am guessing I am going to be one of the last of the first ten because I am having the portals shipped with the rack and RPG tie rods all together... and I also got the upgraded second flange for the double sheer mount for the tie rod... So I guess a few extras on the pallet?.... I am sure I will get a call or email next week.

That and I do not have a you tube presence.... ;)

You trim ~ 3/8" off the outer end of the CV.

Been reading through the installation manual. By the way their technical writer is top notch.... probably comes from all the government work they do. But yea... do not even have to measure... It comes with a jig. put the spacer and nut on and cut away... Simple, easy peasy.
